I wonder how many of us are still waiting on decisions?
It seems like rolling admissions is a joke at many schools (unless you apply before November).

I don't think anyone can know yet whether there will be any acceptances at all off the reserve pool. Supposedly none was taken last year. We should know more in the weeks following both deposit deadlines (so maybe in the next 6 weeks?).

http://www.lawschool.cornell.edu/admiss ... JUMP_34112Applicants who are placed on Regular Decision Reserve usually receive a decision (admit, deny, or summer waitlist) in early summer.
I read through last year's Georgetown waitlist thread and if I remember correctly, there were at least two people who got in off Cornell's reserve pool and withdrew from Georgetown's waitlist. So I'd like to believe that there is hope

Out of impatience, I sent Cornell an email this week inquiring as to my financial aid status. Yesterday they wrote back saying I would receive a scholarship decision very soon. But since it took Cornell ~2 months to even complete my application, I don't even want to know what their definition of "very soon" entails...

When did you send in your FA material?PRgradBYU wrote:Out of impatience, I sent Cornell an email this week inquiring as to my financial aid status. On a side note, does cornell still send out that amazing book for accepted students? I was accepted like 3 weeks ago and I haven't received anything..

I sent my FA material a couple days after getting accepted, I think around March 13 or 14. But yeah, I received that incredibly professional red book a week or two after getting accepted! I was really impressed by it. I'm sure yours is on its way.toothbrush wrote:When did you send in your FA material?PRgradBYU wrote:Out of impatience, I sent Cornell an email this week inquiring as to my financial aid status. Has anyone had success negotiating with Cornell? I have 110k, 80k at Vandy (not the best leverage I know). Already had to turn down NU at 10k/yr and Cornell offered me 7k/yr. I just can't imagine carrying that much debt.

I think the $10k at NU would probably be your best bet in asking Cornell for more. I doubt they'll increase their offer past $15k if they were only willing to offer $7k to begin with.syd625 wrote:Has anyone had success negotiating with Cornell? Was offered 10K/yr from Cornell, and emailed them about a 10K offer from NU and they did not budge.

That's really interesting. I already turned down the NU offer because of the deadline (man, was that painful), and there's definitely no way Cornell's happening at 7k/year. If only I had rich relatives or a better GPA.guinness1547 wrote:CTT wrote:I think the $10k at NU would probably be your best bet in asking Cornell for more. Anyone know approximately how long after you go complete for the 4th time until you get your decision?
Will it be tomorrow?
