So, he must not judge on it - I mean, some of those stumbling idiots have to turn out to be filling the seats at HLS (and turn out to be bright, capable people after all)

Who will probably still make an ok life for themselves, so they can't be that idiotic?

Thanks guy, you made me feel a little better. It just sucks because I don't think I left a great impression of myself. Anyway, I guess I'm part of the waiting crew. Thanks again for the kind words.

Any thoughts on the outcome of those who had Feb14-Feb18th JR1s but with no JR2 yet?

....either the profundity, relevance, and logical progression of this statement is way over my head, or it really is derp derp derp coming from someone who just had a JR1..

Bitter?
I meant it to imply the JR1 fried your brain and you are now spouting derp.
C'mon, you must admit that comment makes no sense.
Lol I actually had just utilized certain chemical substances as a way of settling down from my JR1

Slightly less fucked than those of us with late January/early February JR1s and no JR2s, but still fucked nonetheless.
(Is my total and utter despair showing?)

I had a 2/22 JR1 and was wondering the same thing. I'm not optimistic at this point, especially considering that I have a scholarship deadline coming up that would require withdrawing my app from HLS. Still holding out a sliver of hope, though...

I fail to see any circumstances under which JR1 => crickets < no JR1. You were interesting enough to get a phone call, now you have to wait a little while they sort out the apocalyptic application situation (yes, Weirdlog, it is that bad- Yale extending its freaking deadline, come on!!!). Waiting is good for the soul, and at least you can replay JR's sweet melodious voice in your head free of any the stammers, stutters, or ums that may have marked your rambled response to his questions.

Doubt it...WLs don't go out until a month from now.

Thanks for the pictures. I recognize the buildings from my own visit, but it looks like the sun came out during yours. That puts a more positive spin on things for me.

A question for you folks:
So I'm in JR1 --> Hold limbo and want to follow up with a LOCI. The problem is that everything I would want to include in a LOCI was already discussed during my JR1. (What area of law I'm interested in, Why I'm passionate about it, Why Harvard would be the ideal place to pursue it...) I really don't know what to do. On one hand, I want to show my passion and interest in Harvard by writing a LOCI, but at the same time I don't want to seem redundant.
Any ideas?

I'm not sure how much that would help seeing as how he already singled you out for a JR1. I think at this point it might be better to just wait for the JR2. Didn't JR say his office was a little backlogged with JR2s last week? There's still hope that it'll come after spring break!

So is the email saying your file has been completed after JR1 is standard practice?

NO, it means something. Something weird and freaky is going on with your file.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
