Sorry, I was having coffee with a friend!
The sides and back are shaved but the top is long!
That's the hippest thing I've ever seen - nice!

Things are quiet here today! I hope that means everyone is out having fun.

Quick question though - has anyone gotten a fee waiver from NYU or Columbia? Excluding people whose waivers carried over from previous cycles.

This is exactly how I'm feeling. If I knew I could apply right now I would feel some pressure but without it I'm having a hard time.
I hit a brick wall on UVA's app when I saw I had to list out extracurriculars and hobbies. It's not even hard, I just don't want to...

Imagine if LSAC created a law school version of the Common App...

I'm struggling to write optional essays. Really starting to reconsider my tactic of writing as many optional essays as possible because I'm not sure I can really write very good "why x" essays for some schools. Then I feel bad about being lazy and try to convince myself to suck it up and just do it. Then the cycle repeats.
Ha same here. I realized that there are probably only four T14 schools I'd actually want to go to, so I dunno if there's a point writing Why X's for anywhere else. :o But that might just be my holiday weekend laziness talking??

Thank you, Barley! I'm always gone, yet never hard to find. I spent some time in Michigan and Chicago, and checked out NU, UM, and UChi. Northwestern is definitely moving up on the list.

8) Good for knowing the correct abbreviation for NU. It's a great school, especially if you've got BigLaw ambition.
The school itself is a splendid mixture of old and new buildings/architecture, the surrounding neighborhoods are some of the best in the city, and obviously, the employment statistics are great.

Ughhh I'm looking up apartments in Durham and Charlottesville right now and they would be so cheap and beautiful for my future dog and me... I think they're starting to overtake NYU and Columbia as my top choices right now.

I've been drinking the UVA/Duke kool-aid since I graduated from frat life, yet I would still take NYU/Columbia over both in a heartbeat.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
