Yeah this is basically how I feel. Sometimes you just need someone to echo your sentiments. The latter pub will be a law review pub, but it still doesn't ring as substantial to my ears. Thanks.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Given that you already updated about a publication, another update about a publication does not seem to add a lot of value. Looking through HLS's eyes, I would wonder what you thought it added/what new aspect of you that you think it brings to their attention that they do not already know about.d330 wrote:Question on updating after JS1. I've already updated once, prior to JS1 (about a publication and an award) and now I've been sitting post JS1 since 1/9 and I just found out this law review essay I was invited to write with a law professor I know has been submitted - should I send that information now, or sit on it in the event of being waitlisted or held?
Thanks for the advice.
Also... submission does not seem like a big deal, especially given the fact that you have an actual publication. Unless, did you specifically mention it in your JS1? If so, this might be a good opportunity to bring yourself back on the map.
I mean, "However, if you have substantial updates to your application, this is a good time to submit them." I am not sure they would feel that it is substantial...

i see an exception being like Harvard Law Review, and the article is about a super interesting legal issue - short of that ... meh.d330 wrote:Yeah this is basically how I feel. Is this all sarcastic? Have all the mid-Novembers either been JS1'd or held at this point? Should we be bracing for a ding?theinsider wrote:Thanks!trojandave wrote:an emailtheinsider wrote:Submitted mid-November.

There are still a few mid-Novembers without any update (JS1, hold, ding). No clue what we should be bracing for at this pointcwid1391 wrote:Is this all sarcastic? Oh gosh this thread is long -- I recall seeing a scatterplot that showed submit dates correlated with JS1 dates (or was it JS1 with JS2?) Regardless, can OP perhaps include this in the original post? I went through a dozen pages trying to find to no avail.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I went complete in he very beginning of December and have since been in radio silence. Obviously I missed at least one wave of JS1s and a bloodbath of holds/rejects. What in the name of god does this mean? Should I be expecting any kind of news? I feel like 2 months is more than enough time for them to tell me that they've lost my application.
I imagine any hope of a direct admit is gone (172/3.8 ), but I figured I'd at least get an email with a status update.
