Is it necessarily a bad thing if you don't get asked to do an interview?

If you are an auto-admit, then no. Otherwise, it might signal a lack of interest from gtown.

Just went complete again. Got the "hold" email a while back and sent a LOCI. Tried to generate a username/passsword on the ASW and couldn't do it. Thinking it just went complete again because they added the LOCI...bummer

I just went complete again too after no movement since 11/28 (deferred from ED)
I also sent a LOCI last week but when I called about sending it, they said that my application status would not update from it and I already got a confirmation e-mail saying that they got it....hopefully this doesn' t mean bad news

Did any other deferred ED or hold applicants update today?

Hrmmmm, I've been sitting on complete since 12/19 and no further movement...i'm pretty borderline, so I thought they'd ask me for an interview. Anyone have any thoughts on emailing them to say "heyooooooo [insert intellectual jargon here]" Has this worked for anyone in terms of getting an interview or response?

I wouldn't assume that quite yet, I know it doesn't seem like it after a two month wait but we are still pretty early in the cycle. And either way your name is awesome:) For the people who were on hold, sent in LOCI's, and got updates I think its much more likely to be good news than bad news this early in cycle.

I am going craaaazy.

I went complete in November, applied ED and was deferred to regular admission in early December. They told me in January that we could expect to receive a decision sometime this month, but the waiting is KILLING me.

Judging from previous years, the likelihood of acceptance through this process does not seem very high. Why can't they just end my misery? I've done everything I can do- sent in a LOCI and updated them about my honors thesis. I want to call, but what could I say?

I suppose all I can do now is wait....

+1 Deferred on the same date. Seems like a lot of action today for those of us who were held/deferred earlier in the cycle.

For other applicants, the fourth update typically meant admission. However, I'm assuming for held/deferred people, we can safely throw this rule out, right?

I don't think it can be determined if it is a positive or negative sign until someone who was deferred and had a fourth update hears back
