Had something from Cornell in my mail today, was hoping it was my financial aid, but it was just my admit binder...broken, too. Pretty disappointed =(

For those of you who wrote an LOCI and e-mailed it, who did you send to?

Withdrew today. Best of luck to everyone still waiting. Maybe you'll hear back in time to let your grandchildren inherit your acceptances.

I was deferred on 11/24, went back under review on 3/21, updated again on 3/22, and then nothing. I noticed that someone else in this position was accepted last week. Anybody with those updates still waiting to hear back?

Looking at previous trends, if you are UR today and that pile including you hears back today, you're a WL or ding. If you make it till tomorrow, you're in (they always accept on Tuesday).

Was deferred 12/14 from EA, sent a loci on 2/25 via mail because there was no change on my status, and still nothing. Not even under review. Any advice? Should I be calling admissions or just wait? I understand their busy.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
If you just sent the LOCI in the post on Friday, the *earliest* they would have gotten it is today. I wait at least 2 weeks between date LOCI sent and follow-up call.Sandstorm wrote:Was deferred 12/14 from EA, sent a loci on 3/25 via mail because there was no change on my status, and still nothing. My apologies, I meant 2/25 was when I sent the loci.

Can't see how calling admissions will do anything. You already sent a LOCI and if you call wouldn't the conversation be something like..."Excuse me but why aren't you guys getting on my app?".Sandstorm wrote:Was deferred 12/14 from EA, sent a loci on 2/25 via mail because there was no change on my status, and still nothing. Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
how the hell does $$ work at cornell anyway? seems like a combination of need and merit, since on LSN there is a wide range of money offered to people with very similar #s. anybody more familiar with this?
