Does bar passage rate get considered? BU has a higher passage rate.

It's probably not too late to apply, tbh. However, I think they're probably more local placement than anything so hopefully you want to live/work in Bostonstudyingeveryday wrote:WHOA. those firm numbers though..honestly, is it too late for me to apply there????? why did I not look them up before?brinicolec wrote:Gitaroo_Dude wrote:Just checked BC's employment outcomes and holy smokes. Based on LST, they place over 50% in Massachusetts and around 15% in NY.
Edit: Not impossible, but I do think a lot of biglaw firms in NYC pull from more local schools (NYU, CLS, etc) and top schools, just based on what I saw on ABT's law firm directory top schools thing.

No problem. Also, here's a link to the ABT thing I was talking about because my description was rough: http://abovethelaw.com/law-firms/proskauer-rose-llp/
I'm referring to the top law schools by headcount. You can put in any firm you're interested in and it'll show you their top schools, though I wish there was more numerical details.

Brought the debate home to my SO.

It's largely people who haven't done the research. They're all "it's cheeseCAKE" and we're all "yes...but you see these fine wikipedia pages I've linked you to will definitively prove that cheesecake is a pie"guybourdin wrote:I cannot believe cake is winning here. Truly TTTop-law-schools.com.

Most of the T14s haven't given out their scholarships yet though, correct? I've only got an offer from Mich so far. I think Cornell is the only other one I've heard about people getting money from, but I haven't sent them my tax returns yet so that's on me.guybourdin wrote:We should start a club.chargers21 wrote:Anyone else in that weird area of getting t14 acceptances with little to no money and also getting full rides to regional t25 schools where you have to think long and hard about what's worth it?

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants (classify cheesecake)
From the Washington post, September of this past year:
"Specifically, is cheesecake really cheese pie?
This is very much like the nerdy question about whether a tomato is a vegetable or a fruit. Everyone calls it a vegetable, but that is only because, in general, everyone is an idiot. A tomato plant has flowers and its edible part has seeds inside; ergo, it is a fruit. More shockingly, so are cucumbers. Squash! Olives! Eggplants!
Definitions define. What defines a cake as opposed to a pie is the presence of flour in the filling. Cheesecakes have no flour. Cheesecake is really cheese pie.
What makes this so surprising, of course, is that cheesecake brazenly declares itself a cake but just plain isn’t. Like the way the toilet in a 7-Eleven calls itself a “bathroom.”"
