I've been stalking this thread for a while now, but do y'all know of anyone who got an interview and then was rejected? I think I remember someone who had an interview and then got waitlisted, but I'm feeling pretty good about this interview I have tomorrow...msblaw89 wrote:Good luck!imjustjoking22 wrote:Interview set up for Friday...so nervous!

I don't know of a particular person who had an interview and got WL'ed/dinged, but I have always heard that the interview is for candidates who are neither shoo-ins nor auto-dings, and it seems to be true based upon the interviews I've seen this cycle. FWIW, I was >172, <3.1, (neither shoo-in nor auth-ding) and I got an interview request, and was accepted two months later.southernsuperstar wrote:I've been stalking this thread for a while now, but do y'all know of anyone who got an interview and then was rejected? I think all you can really get from the interview request is that they are interested in you, but that is a really good thing! Just be ready to tell him/her why you want to go to Georgetown! Good luck.

Do people who are able to generate a username and a password for ASW get an email for confirmation of their acceptance or do they have to wait for snail mail? I was able to generate a username and password and I understand that I won't actually be able to login to the site for a few days but I haven't gotten anything at all from Georgetown today.

The mailing will probably come a week or two after you are able to generate an ASW password.drizzle12 wrote:Do people who are able to generate a username and a password for ASW get an email for confirmation of their acceptance or do they have to wait for snail mail? So I was placed on the preferred waitlist (special group) on 12/19, and my status updated twice since then. After my status update today, I was able to generate a username and password for the ASW! So excited.

Right after getting the call from Texas, I was able to generate my username and password. Quit paying attention in class after that.

Hey everyone. So I responded letting Georgetown know that I would be interested in an interview last week. I have not heard back from them since. Will I only hear from them when they have set up interview or should I have received some sort of confirmation? Thanks for the help.

You should hear from them or your interviewer to set it up.NJDevilsfan wrote:Hey everyone. So I responded letting Georgetown know that I would be interested in an interview last week. The email said it could take several weeks I believe. I was lucky, mine called the next day. I'd say wait patiently for maybe 2 weeks and then call if you don't hear anything?NJDevilsfan wrote:I guess my biggest question is how soon?imjustjoking22 wrote:You should hear from them or your interviewer to set it up.NJDevilsfan wrote:Hey everyone. What's the deal with the interview? Is it something you are invited to do or do you request one (sorry if this has already been discussed)?

Hrmmmm, I've been sitting on complete since 12/19 and no further movement...i'm pretty borderline, so I thought they'd ask me for an interview. Anyone have any thoughts on emailing them to say "heyooooooo [insert intellectual jargon here]" Has this worked for anyone in terms of getting an interview or response?broncos_fan_26 wrote:nope. they ask ujecthoma wrote:What's the deal with the interview? Is it necessarily a bad thing if you don't get asked to do an interview?broncos_fan_26 wrote:nope. they ask ujecthoma wrote:What's the deal with the interview? Is it something you are invited to do or do you request one (sorry if this has already been discussed)?
