Congratulations!!! And thanks so much for your service.Kring345 wrote:Holy Fuck!! Accepted via snail mail. No idea when it was post-marked, because Im in Afghanistan and my mail is forwarded to my parents. They received it yesterday.
White dude, 3.8, 168, 3x Combat Vet, submitted September 19th and complete a few days later. I sent a LOCI about 2-3 weeks ago just for the hell of it. But I updated them on my 3rd deployment and new position that Im fulfilling.
Seriously, I never expected this. I thought I had more of a chance at Harvard and Stanford than I did at CLS.
Holy fuck. This just changed everything. No idea what to do now. Good problem to have. But

And let my 3.8/168 add to everyone's hope as well.isaiah53 wrote:Accepted to Columbia via VCE today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are my obligatory stats... My LSN link is also in my profile.
LSAT: 170
GPA: 3.85
Non-URM
Submit date: Mid-October
Geographic location: Los Angeles area
Postmark date: February 21
I don't post on TLS often but I've been a long-time lurker. Just wanted to share the good news to give hope to those who are still waiting and to anybody who browses this thread in the future. I had become disheartened so many times reading TLS and seeing people with way higher stats than mine being held or waitlisted. Waiting for each round of waitlist and hold emails was nervewracking, and I was beginning to think that Columbia had completely forgotten about me.
Sorry for the rambling... I'm kind of delusional writing on TLS at nearly 4 am. I came home super late and saw the VCE waiting for me on my desk. My parents had checked the mail today, and they had no idea it was from Columbia because the bar code sticker was completely blocking Columbia's name on the envelope. They thought it was from NYU because of the New York return address. I promptly woke them up, and we celebrated for a good hour at 3 AM.

Well what do you know, I guess it isn't entirely a numbers game after all. Considering those of us with high numbers are held up. I'm just glad for those to be admitted; go get em!Kring345 wrote:And let my 3.8/168 add to everyone's hope as well.isaiah53 wrote:Accepted to Columbia via VCE today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, lots of January submitters heard back last week so there's no telling what's gonna happen to those of us who still haven't heard back yet, regardless of submit date.djkrish wrote:yeahhh I'm still waiting but i didn't submit till december. has anyone who submitted in december heard back yet?

Nice! Now here's the plan: drop everything, come to ASD this week, get your JS2 while at Columbia, come to Harvard's ASW next weekend.Byzantine wrote:In via VCE! NO scholarship info.

If Harvard's holds tell us anything it is going to be a long wait. I wouldn't be surprised if we had to wait until late March/early April.WhiteGuy5 wrote:When do you think they'll get to the Hold pile again?
