Good morning everyone! After a week of absence I'm back and optimistic as ever. If Yale could do admit calls yesterday before the Superbowl, HLS could send some KB/JS 1 and 2 this week.

So I had a dream last night... I had the most embarrassing in person interview with JR (for some reason) at the HLS Admissions Office, as sweat was literally dripping from my face and a number of people of were lined up behind me, waiting for their turn... I'm confident I didn't manage to produce even one coherent sentence throughout the 10-minute "interview" (but really "torture") and then JR told me "to expect communication soon."

I think the last KB 1 was in early january. I could be wrong. And I think the last kb 2 was before the 15th of january.

EDIT: Just checked LSN and last kb2 was 24 days ago, so kb1 was at least 25 days ago.

She says she is the Chief Admissions Officer, but also the Assistant Dean... is there no Dean of Admissions at HLS?

Assistant Dean = "Dean of Admissions"... pretty sure that's how it has always been.

Wasn't KB pregnant? Maybe she is out of the office now on maternity leave, and that's why there haven't been any interviews or acceptances lately

Do you think a larger number of URMs were held this cycle to account for the drop in applicants?

I am a non-URM Latino and was held with really low stats...

I think they held almost everyone (or said nothing to them) that submitted after a certain date. People with really awesome numbers were held and people with really low numbers were held. It doesn't seem to mean much.

Yea, I really think the November applications for some reason hit them at a bad time and they just basically held people across the board. Maybe with the application reviews, plus KS1+2 already scheduled, plus rejections that they just had to hold a big batch of applications.

Applied in November and was not Rejected nor Held.
