Some of these WLs are positively frightening. For someone with my stats.

sooo i was looking over my michigan app.. and how screwed would you say i am (out of 10) if I spelled Dean Z's name wrong in my why Mich essay? I got the Sarah C. part right.. but after Zear it just went all wrong haha. my app was pretty solid aside form that, with borderline #s (169, 3.8 ) i kinda just would skip over the whole red squiggly line in word when reviewing that essay so i guess that's why i never realized it. dammit!

Whoa... yeah I would be surprised, too. I'm sorry to hear about that...
Yeah, I mean, I was really hoping to use them for bargining w/other schools, but still, it definitely stings. Maybe they didn't like my PS? It was academically focused, so maybe they thought I wouldn't be a good fit.
I applied on 12/13.

The trend (at least on TLS) is that the WLs today seem to be high #s for Mich. Just saying the obvious, I suppose, but I hope that made you guys feel better.

I'm chosing to think that they figured I wouldn't go/would have better offers.

Also WL'd. Above both 75ths but had genuine reasons for really wanting to go to Michigan and sent Why Michigan. Anyone know the chances of getting off the waitlist with an LOCI?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
