The snow in NYC is pretty bad (but WSP is really pretty right now!), so maaaybe we can hold out hope for tomorrow if no VCEs tomorrow? Checking in 3 hours and 30 minutes boyfriend is trying to convince me that a stop by the grocery store on the walk back from class (instead of sprinting to the mailbox) is not the meanest thing he's ever suggested...bah.

Dulc your stats are stellar. I would be absolutely shocked if you didn't get in. It would definitely just be the weather if you don't get anything today.

Yeah, mail from New York (or anywhere almost) to Chicago is usually super fast. I think it all has to come through here, because of the trains.

I think it's more that I'm definitely not getting one, and you perhaps... didn't leave a holiday tip for your mailman? (kidding, kidding)

I haven't checked in here since people first started getting the vom-velopes. Are NYCers freaking out if they didn't get one yesterday? Are we holding out hope for today? I'm in Brooklyn and had an empty mailbox last night...

Grumbles! We have been freaking out, but perhaps irrationally. Only two (I think) people in Manhattan got letters yesterday, so there are definitely a lot left to go in that borough. At least one person got one in Queens. Several people got them in Brooklyn. However, due to the little bit of snow yesterday and the general weirdness of NYC mail patterns, there is speculation that not all is lost. The fact that you haven't gotten yours yet adds to this optimism. I forget - are you in Central Brooklyn?

I'm in south Park Slope, so West Brooklyn, I suppose. I'll be checking again in a few hours. Will update later tonight!

I wouldn't give up just yet, especially with what people are saying about the weather. I would say that NYCers can probably at least hold on until the end of this week. All of your talk does make me nervous though about how much the weather will affect mail coming across the country, but I think we'd all prefer slightly delayed mail if it means good news is coming!
