Sounds like you got in. Look like they have been putting new people on the SPWL and accepting
some of the people that were on the list before.

Sorry

you know you will probably get in. I am not sure how many people are on the SPWL but they have to admit all of them before dipping into the regular preferred WL. I am not sure how many people with good numbers will stay committed to gtown... I want to be admitted and visit before making up my mind but I will probably end up withdrawing because of lack of $, I think you will get a spot soon enough.

Thanks for the encouragement r6, I think you're probably right but the wait is still excruciating.

Decision Rendered 3/19!
172/3.54. I was initially held on 12/2, SPWL on 2/25, e-mailed LOCI 3/11, went UR again on 3/17 and 3/18.
Edit: I was able to get login info for the admitted students site but I'm not actually able to login.

Make it another person of the special wait list accepted. DR 3/15, was only of the waitlist for a week and a half. Can't log into the admitted students website yet though.

Got the letter today! It had a hand written note wishing me a happy birthday which I though was really nice (it was my birthday yesterday). My numbers weren't as high as the rest of the people who were taken off so I think everyone who is still on it will be chillen.

Haven't heard anything, emailed my contact again (last email was sent a month ago...) and got ANOTHER out of office reply. I just wanted to see if she got my last email, and NOW.... nothing. Has anyone heard from the double S? Anyone?

Congrats! Would you mind PMing your stats? Did you write a LOCI? When were you first WL'ed?

Got the admittance letter today after being in the SPWL since mid-Feb. DR 3/15. Was in a small envelope so I thought it would be a ding, glad it wasn't.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too... shortest stay ever. Felt too good to be true.
Changed to DR 3/19 later in the day. From what you all are saying, that's a good sign.

Shortest stay on the waitlist evar.
I'd call them.

Weird, they seem to be taking a lot of people off the SPWL that were put on pretty recently but I think you take the cake. What are your stats if you don't mind? Feel free to PM.

OK fellow Special Preferred Waitlisters....many of us were told we would hear something by 3/22! Here is hoping there is still room for the rest of us after that big waive of acceptances last week.
My gut tells me that is we hear anything, it will be a note telling us that there is no new information...and that we need to keep waiting. But I am anxious to hear something nonetheless.

what are the chances we get an email at 5:01 letting us know that they regret not having any new information for us?

Got the letter today! I applied to almost all of my schools in September and this is my first acceptance. So excited!
Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Congratulations! I can't even imagine how crazy I'd be right now if I'd had to wait that long for one acceptance, you must be so relieved.

I was added to the SPWL today. My contact is Alison and I was told I would be updated no later than mid-April.
Anyone else?

This is a pretty frustrating process...I'm also part of the group that was promised an update by today. Was complete back in November, had an interview in January, was put in the special group in February. Come on, Gtown, quit stringing me along!

Just got my acceptance letter in the mail! It includes a hand written note from the Dean thanking me for my patience. It's about time... I applied ED in December, got deferred, then SPWL, finally DR 3/19. Good luck to everyone else!!!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
