Yeah it says it was mailed on 2/8; but I get my mail sent to Cleveland, not Columbus, so it might take a little longer

Can anyone provide some clarity regarding the residency situation? The Moritz website claims that nearly everyone pays in-state for years two and three, but it seems like you have to provide a lot of evidence proving that you are supporting yourself with income from a job in Ohio. It makes me think that those of us who will not be working and living off of loans/savings will have a very difficult time getting residency... thoughts?

Your supporting yourself off of loans= that's your income, and you're in OH. I think that's how they look at it.

Not necessarily. They may decide you qualify for their scholarships simply in virtue of your PS and recommendations (Moritz Merit excluded, that requires essay).

Dear XXX,

I am delighted that you have been admitted to the Class of 2013 at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Congratulations! You will be joining a very special law school community. I will be so pleased to welcome you to our law school next academic year.

At Moritz, we strive to keep adding new learning opportunities for our students. Let me mention some recent examples. This year we expanded our unique Program in Law and Leadership that we launched the year before. We?ve further expanded your opportunities to participate as a journal editor during your upper-level years, a very valuable part of the law school experience, by adding the Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal to the Ohio State Law Journal and our leading journals on dispute resolution, criminal law and the information society. You will also have the chance to participate in international learning, through our long-established summer at Oxford University program, our newer semester at Oxford program and by being joined in the classroom by lawyers from throughout the world enrolled in Moritz?s new LL.M. program. Two programs now entering their fourth year here are our one-week classes taught by distinguished business practitioners-in-residence and our Mentoring and More @ Moritz program, featuring joint lunch programs between students and their distinguished mentors from our local bench and bar.

Moritz faculty connect their scholarship with service that makes a real difference, and that also gives students the opportunity to do the same. At Moritz, you will have instructors who served on the Presidential transition team and in both the state and federal governments, including as Ohio Attorney General. Students are involved in advising legislators through our legislation practicum, get federal experience through our Washington, D.C. externship program, and are involved in many student run ventures such as the Pro Bono Research Group, which provides legal research for legal services lawyers.

In short, this is a tremendously exciting time to join us, both inside and outside of the classroom. You were admitted because of your demonstrated potential to make a difference as an outstanding attorney. I hope that you will accept our offer of admission and join us and a diverse group of aspiring lawyers with similar potential for three exciting years.

I received a Leadership without an essay. I didn't tailor my PS to OSU so they definitely look at PS, GPA, and LSAT
