I saw a small envelope inside the main packet that specifically said "Merit scholarship Award" on the front. They offered me 30K a year, plus free housing in a 1L-only studio apartment dorm my first year! They said the value of the scholarship is over 105K!! I think I have a new number 1 choice

Congrats.
I can't believe how many people on TLS get mail early in the day. I am lucky if the mail guy comes by 4 on most days.

+1....what's worse is that mine will come anywhere from 12-4 with no apparent pattern. I have already checked the mail three times today. Fourth time's the charm?

+1 my mail sucks too. Sometimes it will be here by 12 sometimes by 5. Also I find it weird that when I get mail from home (two hours away) it takes 3 days, but when I get mail from Ohio State or Iowa it takes 2. USPS....

Also in at GW via snail mail. 163/3.84, so it was a very welcome acceptance. Easily in the top 2 or 3 of my acceptances thus far.
Edit: After reading the acceptance letter more closely, GW may not be for me... There was a nice handwritten note on the letter, and he signed it with his initials.. Frederick M. Lawrence... So he signed my letter "-FML"... Maybe they are just being honest with the law school experience in general?

Congratulations! I just got the same thing, minus the big envelope. I didn't even know I was admitted yet. Do you have the 3.0 GPA requirement as well?

Now that BC is out for me, GWU becomes my top choice, I think.

Yeah, a 3.0 requirement. Now I have a pretty tough choice, because BU offered me 25K a year, and now I have this 30K + 1st year housing offer from GW. Guess I will be going to GW Law to visit pretty soon.

Those are definitely not bad options to have. Good luck!

For everyone receiving today, what are your locations? Trying to figure out if I should panic in 2 or 3 days.
