Dude, that's way too long to be on the computer. You really need to stop obsessing over status checkers. Or at least use Firefox so you won't have to keep re-entering your passwords!jbrowning82 wrote: Going on Safari for two weeks starting friday

Re: Illinois 2010!
Dean Pless-
You always were one of my favorite posters on TLS, however, I felt that I was not good enough for UIUC even though I think I have relatively strong numbers. That was until today. I just received an E-mail from "Paul Pless" and needless to say I am overjoyed that you thought enough to correspond with me and invite me to apply. While there are some other law school's out there that have been flirting with me, UIUC is definitely one of the better ones out there and would strongly consider attending, should I be so fortunate enough to gain admittance.
Thank you and O happy days,
Sincerely,
Chicoalto0649
BTW- How did you manage to beat OSU my sophomore year, at the shoe (!) of all places!

I have to say what Dean Pless is doing here and how he is handling ap review is def #1 of all schools. You can see the other threads, 20, 100, 150 pages of, "Wait, I applied 10/2 and am still complete while a 11/12 complete just went UR, what does that mean?" etc. Even if you're going to hold someone to look at later, it's nice to have the courtesy to let them know that (never mind he has said when that re-review might occur.) Yes, admissions ideally should not be the end all of how you choose a school, but it absolutely puts a bad taste about some schools how they handle things, and is a cut above knowing exactly what will happen when, having it be entirely fair and in order... it has to same some larger about the program. In any case, it's earned the school massive bonus points in my book...

+1. I do love the way Dean Pless handles all these. The Admission offices should know that how stressful waiting for the decision is, and they just let it be. It is good to be informed of what's going on and what these things mean. Dean Pless makes me love UIUC even more, though I have to wait until Jan 8, at least I know I can expect a decision that day, instead of wondering when it is coming and keeping checking my statud checker.ruleser wrote:I have to say what Dean Pless is doing here and how he is handling ap review is def #1 of all schools. Almost... so nice to have one school you're not wondering how much longer IR will last, but that you will wake up tomorrow and for certain shortly after know the decision.goosey wrote:Friday at lastttt
