Last fall their entering class was 314, so I would imagine somewhere in the 300-320 range
Thank you! I'm confused... On LSN, it says matriculated 310 for class of 2020, and they are only admitting 300-320. Does that pretty much mean all the "No decision made" applicants have no chance? Did I miss something. I'm currently "No Decision Made" and still hoping for UF. Ugh... I dislike this waiting and getting my hopes up game... And advise is appreciated!

They haven't had their first deposit deadline, so it's really unlikely more than 100 people are really in for them. Don't forget about 2/3 of the people accepted will go elsewhere. :)

I wouldn't trust LSN, first seat deposit is not even due for UF yet. They have no way of knowing. That's all self reported.
Thank you! That makes me feel better. LSN seems to be highly rated though...
They're just updating the site for this cycle, those numbers are likely the numbers from class of 2019. Just because they changed the header to class of 2020 doesn't mean the data reflects that. You can search just about any school on that site and they all say matriculating numbers.

Anyone else receive a fee waiver by email from Assistant Dean Byrd? I received an email saying because of my academic and personal experience I would be an invaluable asset to the school and they waived my application fees. UF is a reach school for me but that email intrigued me, I wanted to see if anyone else received an email like that.

Last year lsn had a high number over 300 pretty early on, and I saw people on here get admitted in the months following that. I'm not sure how they come up with that number. But I wouldn't worry about it too much.

where are your stats in comparison to their 25/50/75s, a lot of schools reach out like that. That's not to say that you wouldn't be accepted so maybe its worth a shot

I received the same email in early January. That was before I applied to any school. Now I'm "No Decision Made" status.

ME!!! Because I'm a floridian and I want to practice in Florida. I got accepted other places, but UF is prestigious here and is seen as a local ivy so I feel better about job prospects. Its also super affordable.

Anyone know if "Initial Review Complete - No Decision Made" is basically the waitlist? Or should I be expecting a decision soon?

A few pages back we all got emails saying something along the lines of "hopefully by mid april" but I don't think theres been a decision wave in a few weeks.

FWIW: I've been at that status for 3 almost 4 weeks now.

Yeah, I've been on the no decision made status for 6 weeks now and I know some people on here have said they've been at no decision made since December/January.

A ton of people got "no decision made" before getting accepted. I think some people were saying everyone outside of those above 75th percentile got it. I did too then was accepted with an 80% scholarship.

Is "no decision made" a good sign? or can it go both ways?

***Personal theory***
-The "no decision made" status is NOT a wait list, they are two specifically different statuses and explained on ASO.
-I think UF's rolling admission includes SKIMMING numbers and auto admitting at 75%ers and above 75%ers with scholly offers and grouping the rest under "no decision made".
-Throughout April they go through the "no decision" pile and comparatively review them... then maybe even compare them against other similar applicants two or more times (from what I remember discussing on the phone with admissions).
-They continue the accept/reject/waitlist process until July (SIGH) but get done with a majority of them in April and May.

I truly do believe UF's application process is very hollistic compared to the other law schools in Florida and a lot of thought goes behind them and that's why I am being patient with UF.

With all that being said, the "no decision made" pile at this point does not mean we have it easy. I seen people with 140s and 2.0s get placed on that status.

Good luck to everyone!

Has anyone on here attended UF's admit day? If so, what was it like and were parents welcome to join?

I was at the one on 3/17--- it was very well done. and informative. Everyone was super laid back and helpful and you really got the sense of "Gator Nation" and community there. I'm from the Northeast so this was my first time there. A few students did have guests, siblings, etc. so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the information! I went to UM's admit weekend and there were just as many parents as there were students. I called to ask about parents attending UF's admit day and the lady seemed hesitant about bringing guests. I just want to make sure that I'm not the only one who's bringing parents.

From what they said there, I think they just want to make sure that guests don't get bored since they feel the informational and interactive sessions are specifically geared towards students with an interest in attending the school. I think parents fall in a different category though since they have a vested interest in the school as well and will be interested in employment numbers, financial information, externships, etc.

Was really hoping for some movement this week cause there's no way they will not give us decisions after most deposit deadlines right?....RIGHT?

FWIW I believe theres ANOTHER ASD this weekend so I would guess the whole office is busy with a lot of that information? I was hoping for a response this week as well but it seems unlikely as theres been no movement according to LSN.

I called last Friday, and I don't remember with whom I spoke, but she was really nice, and helpful. I'm paraphrasing here, but she said that I would probably receive a decision in time to decide between UF and my 4/15 seat deposits.
