You have given me hope!slippin_jimmy wrote:To give more data points/experiences, I received my JS1 on 12/1 and was admitted 1/15. Looking at the stats, I was between 25th and 50th for both GPA and LSAT. Very average work experience. Don't think just because you have great numbers you will be entitled to an early JS1/JS2; similarly, there are plenty of us at HLS who make up the bottom 50th percent of admissions and spoiler, they don't wait to admit you until last. Sometimes they even let you in above people with super high scores.
Good luck all! It's a great place to end up.
ETA: I applied the first week of October.

Looking at the past couple of years, interview request come out about once per week - expect to see another batch at the end of the week (probably Friday) and hope that you find out via email instead of TLStaxman14 wrote:Anyone receive interviews today?

True but some of the dates are back to back or 1-2 days apart in the 2019 C/O thread, so wanted to see if anyone was lucky enough todayGoBucks6612 wrote:Looking at the past couple of years, interview request come out about once per week - expect to see another batch at the end of the week (probably Friday) and hope that you find out via email instead of TLStaxman14 wrote:Anyone receive interviews today?

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
There are two ways to interpret last year's JS waves: that, for the first few waves, they're about one per week; or, that in the first couple weeks of November there is one every couple days. Either way, it seems likely that there'll be another wave by Friday, and, even if not, there's nothing we can do about it anyways!taxman14 wrote:True but some of the dates are back to back or 1-2 days apart in the 2019 C/O thread, so wanted to see if anyone was lucky enough todayGoBucks6612 wrote:Looking at the past couple of years, interview request come out about once per week - expect to see another batch at the end of the week (probably Friday) and hope that you find out via email instead of TLStaxman14 wrote:Anyone receive interviews today?

Just got an email from Harvard inviting me to look more into their school and apply. It makes me think I have a shot waaayyy more than I actually do.

It took me about a week to go complete...so I wouldcanafsa wrote:I submitted on the 29th and never got an email confirmation, however I was able to access my application status check by going to their website and requesting my forgotten password.
My application status is "application received". Is this unusual for them to have not emailed me? Is it strange to still be at the "application received" screen 10 days later?
Thanks

It's also fairly random, I submitted in September and went complete early Oct. and have yet to receive anything from them but I'm sure it's just a matter of time.mm2368 wrote:Thank you!xnsch wrote:Applied 9/14, complete 9/28mm2368 wrote:If you're getting a JS1 would you mind telling us when you applied and when you went complete? (And yes, I asked so that I could feel way better about not having a JS1 yet; submitted and completed over a month after you so, no need to worry!

Congrats to everyone who has gotten a JS1 already! I was hoping you could calm my immense worry by posting your stats if you've been offered an interview? It appears the initial JS1 waves are for top top stats, and (I hope/assume) they become more inclusive as time goes on.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I would also not worry because I've been on par stats-wise with the others who have received JS1s and I haven't been contacted. So unless there's a huge flaw in my app (hopefully not) I still feel that there's some element of randomness even if the top stats applicants are receiving interviews.futuregingerlawyer wrote:Congrats to everyone who has gotten a JS1 already! Was curious about this as well - I know it's usually about once a week in the beginning of the cycle but are they all sent at the same time? Or is it possible that others will receive them later on in the day today?SmallK wrote:Here's hoping, at leasttaxman14 wrote:I would also not worry because I've been on par stats-wise with the others who have received JS1s and I haven't been contacted. Thanks!Speaking of randomness -- is there a general consensus on how many are released at a time/how long they send them out? I assume it depends on the round, but figured I'd check.

I remember seeing that they're not sent out all at once, but I don't know if the difference is a few minutes or sprinkled throughout the day.taxman14 wrote:Was curious about this as well - I know it's usually about once a week in the beginning of the cycle but are they all sent at the same time?
