I was kinda in your boat. I went complete 12/8, had my status checker chance on 12/12, then had nothing until checker updated on 1/19. Got accepted the next day. It's annoying as hell, but there doesn't seem to be any real rhyme or reason to the order they approach apps.amjam wrote:I applied early December, went complete 12/8, and then saw a date change on 12/12, but haven't seen any movement since then. What gives? There seems to be a fast turnaround for people on this thread that I just haven't experienced. Should I just hold my horses until the end of my expected wait time (Feb 13)?

I'm in the same boat...went complete after December LSAT, status check date update 1/23 and nothing since then. Hopefully you're right! ND is my first choice.Gitaroo_Dude wrote:I was kinda in your boat. I went complete 12/8, had my status checker chance on 12/12, then had nothing until checker updated on 1/19. Decision rendered 1/24- waitlisted or dinged because I did not get an email- anyone know how long it takes to get the letter in the mail? Thought for sure I would have received it by now.

So looking at last year's thread I saw that scholarship offers were sent out via snail mail, and the first wave of offers were received around the second week of February. Here's to hoping that this year's release will follow a similar timeline!

I'm quite sure most, if not all, of the people who got accepted in this thread got seat deposits in the status checker the day the decision was made, and then a few hours later an email with the acceptance. I know I did.fips tedora wrote:"The Admissions Committee has completed their review of your application. Your decision has been mailed to you. We DO NOT release decisions by telephone or email. Re: Notre Dame Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Is it worth applying to Illinois law for $$ to negotiate w/ due to geographic location? Asking because the other schools I have are W&M, Wisconsin, U of Washington, Richmond, UNC. I know the ND scholarship appeal form leaves room for two other offers, which schools should I put?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Opinions? My PS already touches base on the "DKL" themes (hispanic background, focused on immigration law b/c I witnessed family members grapple w becoming citizens), so should I forgo writing a DKL essay? I'm below 25th LSAT above 75th GPA so this is my biggest reach school which is why i'm hesitating to not write one optional statement, but don't want to sound redundant?

Re: Notre Dame Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
My stats are the exact opposite GPA <25th LSAT > 75th and I didn't bother with the DKL essay. My personal statement talked about my background and reasons for pursuing law so I didn't want to write another redundant essay. Got in 4 weeks after I applied.emilycc1026 wrote:Opinions? Yeah, today. Took a bit — complete on 12/9, didn't change again until 1/27. LSAT > 75th, GPA < 25th, wrote both DKL and NLDS.vcap180 wrote:Congrats!! As of when - today? And when did you go complete?rozes wrote:Decision made with seat deposits!
