Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I was told during my own interview that they interview all candidates they're considering seriously, and that no one is admitted without an interview. So it's definitely a good sign!schoolisfun wrote:Haha in some ways yes and in some ways no. Just sent my app today morning and it's already under review! So fast...
So guys, how many days should I be expecting to hear back from them? For an interview or a decision?
Hope they don't YP me since they did waive my fee...
Also, did anyone create a list of questions they might ask during the interview?

I think it's going to take a little longer now that they're getting more applications, but I was asked about doing an interview a little under a week from when my application went complete.Thelaw23 wrote:Just sent my app today morning and it's already under review! So fast...

Questions asked seems to vary slightly based on your interviewer. I was asked why UVA, questions about my resume, what the best day of my life was, what my career goals are 5 years down the line, then 10 years down the line. That was with Dean Faulk.
I was accepted, and talked about the collegial environment at UVA and a specific extra-curricular program I was interested in when asked why UVA.
Good luck!

Checking in. Just interviewed with Chris Colby a couple of hours ago. It was pretty laid back, but still no word yet. Although I've been constantly refreshing the status checker ever since...

I interviewed with him about 3 weeks ago, but still no word. Good luck though! Hope you don't have to wait as long as I.mcblake wrote:Checking in. It sounds like most people are having these long conversations with their interviewer. Is it a bad sign that my interview was less than 15 minutes?

I don't know that it makes a difference.. I had a 40 minute conversation and thought it went well but haven't heard back, and it's been weeks.

Mine was exactly 20 because my interviewer had someone lined up for right after me, still was accepted. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Been UR since 9/12, getting anxious seeing all these interviews already. 25<GPA<50, 75<LSAT.

Same here except 75<LSAT and 75<GPA. Not sure what's up.

I'd be pissed if it's YP for me. Any higher up the rankings and I'm a huge splitter. GPA < 25, 75 < LSAT. Doubt I'd get much $$$ with that.TAD wrote:Lol same. I don't think they'd reject necessarily, they are just not giving the decision quickly (which, fair enough). Probably waiting to see how things are shaking out and will wait list most YP peopletaxman14 wrote:pretzeltime wrote:YP for sure. Take a gander at who is still pending on LSN.
