Haha oh man, glad I'm not alone in this. My beard is currently at like five months length. I don't want to shave, but if it helps me get into a great school then I will.
Also, next post for you is 1,000. Make it count

I can't wait to get out of the Navy so I can grow an epic beard. I envy you in this dept for sure.
And I'm sure a genuine LOCI and a visit will go a long way with UVA. They really are such a friendly admissions office.

I can literally count on one hand the number of times I've been "clean shaven" since I got my discharge paperwork. It's definitely something to look forward to.
I'm really hopefully that the LOCI is going to go a long way; UVA is definitely my top choice (especially now that Georgetown made an initial merit offer of $0), so I hope they see that through the visit and letter.

Waitlisted at UVA and Georgetown (preferred). Held at Northwestern. 25< GPA & LSAT <50. Not a URM nor a splitter of any kind, so I probably should not hold onto much hope here.

Hey if there wasn't something about your application that they liked then they would have just rejected you. Have you submitted any LOCIs and/or visited these schools? If one of them is clearly your top choice, make sure they know that. Keep the faith!

Yep, I'm riding out these schools until the bitter end! I'm going to submit LOCIs immediately following the first deposit deadlines. I've visited both UVA and GULC. Interviewed with both GULC and Northwestern.

Does anyone know if it is likely to hear anything from any of these waitlists before the end of April?

Texas' waitlist seems to have been very active already, so I would say that one is at least possible by the end of the month.

Hi everyone -
In the process of sending in an updated resume, and wanted to see if anyone had any idea how this normally works. Do applicants normally resend the whole updated resume, or simply communicate to the school the changes in the resume? Thanks!

Damn man. I salute you.
Anyone else losing enthusiasm for the WL? I started with Duke/Berkeley/Columbia/Chicago, and already withdrew from Duke and Berkeley... but even if I got into C or C, I don't think I'd necessarily choose them over my current options unless they magically offered some pretty solid aid.

I remember I was so pissed when I got my first waitlist (Duke) and then just got used to it haha
To be honest, my stats are not amazing so it's understandable. I think I'm going to withdraw from every school below T6 and probably ride Harvard till August since it's my dream school.
EDIT: I just saw that I had put Michigan down but I was accepted there!

Berkeley was top choice but now a pipe dream, so now my hope's with Texas.

Hello, I just got waitlisted to my top 2 choices. I plan on sending a LOCI this week (after 1st seat deposits are due) and I also plan on visiting these 2 schools as they are located in the same city. My question is, do you think waiting to visit the schools in June is too late or should I visit ASAP? Im asking because it would be very difficult to get off any time this month or in May

I would think visiting sooner rather than later would be beneficial, but a later visit is better than no visit I would imagine.

Have you not visited the schools at all? I can't imagine committing to a school without visiting it.
That being said you're basically just choosing risk/reward here. I'd imagine you'll want to visit the schools before you make a decision, you're just deciding whether you can risk waiting until June since you're unlikely to get in off the waitlist before then. If it were me I'd visit sooner than later, but I'm more risk averse than some.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
