Just found an admit email from Cornell sitting in my gmail Promotions folder... Withdrawing right away
I sent my seat deposit to UCLA today. Cornell is a great school, but UCLA is my favorite. Hope this helps someone on the WL!

Pretty safe to assume there will be no movement on weekends, then?

Yup. I've only heard that Berkeley sometimes can call on Sunday...ProductofUnreality wrote:Pretty safe to assume there will be no movement on weekends, then?

Just received a giant envelope all wrinkled up and stuffed in my mailbox. The asshole mail lady (male lady
) really hates me. I'm surprised she didn't toss it on the street. No scholarship info yet, which is normal and expected.

The only reason I'd want to get in to Berkeley is so I can turn them down again.

Re: UCLA Law c/o 2019 (2015-2016)
For me it was that and too close to home. I shut them down for UCLA for undergrad and I'd love to do it again for law school, though I think I'll be denied by Boalt thanks to a less than stellar GPA. Hell I'm not even confident I'll get into UCLA...garbagekitty wrote:ProductofUnreality wrote:Thanks.garbagekitty wrote:Yup. Boalt just denies everyone. No matter how amazing your stats are, or how diverse you are. I applied and my GPA/LSAT are in their 25%. I withdrew just as soon as I sent my deposit to UCLA. I don't want some tattooed hipster with blue hair reviewing my app and saying I won't fit in. hahaProductofUnreality wrote:For me it was that and too close to home. Haha I'm an artist so I'm sure UCB will like my PS. But I hear they put most of their emphasis on GPA rather than LSAT scores so my paltry 3.3 isn't likely to do it.garbagekitty wrote:Boalt just denies everyone. Yeah, I heard the same thing. It's a great school still tho. I do like their grading system too.ProductofUnreality wrote:Haha I'm an artist so I'm sure UCB will like my PS.
