Basically that you're not done waiting.
There's levels to this purgatory.

What are the criteria they use to invite people for the rothman? Hoping for a shot at scholarship money of not the rothman.

I don't think it does. From what I've read in this thread it looks like you need to be REALLY outstanding to get the Rothman, like starting your own successful business and/or being a published writer. That seems like the next level to me. I'm just hoping for a merit scholarship based on my numbers since I wouldn't qualify for the Rothman anyway.

What I'm saying is don't lose hope for a scholly just because you haven't been invited to apply for the Rothman.

I was invited, but I dont feel like I am as qualified as others by a long shot. I do appreciate the encouragement regardless. Sorry if I was confusing in my post.

Haha a little friendly competition to stir the pot. :)

I figure USC just hasn't gotten to my file for some reason. Hopefully I'll have some movement in the next week.

I think they use primarily numbers to invite ppl for Rothman (I got the invite and my numbers are above both 75th). Then invited ppl have to write an essay and upload resume to show off their non-numerical achievements lol.

Ditto!

I've resigned to the idea that it's just lottery based. It's the only way I can make sense of it all.

I can see that. Especially considering there seems to be quite a few people that went complete way before me that either haven't or just barely went CR1.

"Your application is now complete. Once the Admissions Committee begins the review process and a decision is made, we will notify you via postal mail. We cannot release decisions over the phone or by email."

"postal mail" was even in red.

Then I'm in today via EMAIL.
