I'm convinced you work in the admissions office.

Nah. I just copied and pasted from the UF Law Facebook page. If I worked in the admissions office I would speed up the process so everyone that was an admit would get a phone call letting them know they were admitted (not a snail mail packet that took me a week to get) within 2-3 weeks of when their application went complete.

I post on here because it is in the best interest of all current and former students to promote UF Law because the better students we get the more our ranking will rise adding more value to our degree. I also genuinely enjoy helping people and answering questions so that those whom do decide to come to UF Law have an easier transition. For example, someone recommended living at Towne Parc (terrible advice considering the traffic once you get south of Radio Rd. on 34th St.) and I told them where people actually live.

Is today supposed to be the next wave of admits according to last year?

I am going to be visiting on Thursday, so I'm super excited :)!

Did you go to UG at UF?

I lived on 23rd Terrace for 2 years and it worked out great.

Also there's no need to get snooty, everyone has different opinions.

If the dates are the same as last cycle, does anyone know what time their status changed? Just checked online and it still says "comparative review in progress." I know most people on here who have been accepted have mentioned that they checked the status on the day people said it would be changed due to last years cycle, so I was just curious about what time those people found out. I applied in December so I know that was later than other people here who have just recently found out. Thanks for the help!

My status changed in the morning. You want to look at the date associated with the status. IF it updated to today's date then you will be receiving a decision shortly. If not, then your not in this batch (assuming the next batch is still March 10th or 11th as it was last year).

If your date changed today and are expecting a decision soon... do we think thats a good sign towards acceptance? I heard they don't send out rejections till April? How soon after the date change do you find out an answer?

At this point, that deserves a congratulations. Though I don't envy the next two weeks of waiting, I do envy the fact you have a decision. I'm still waiting to get out of Initial Review.

Ditto. I'm assuming this means I got in. Also just got acceptance call from FSU--not a bad day.

So most people think this means acceptance? Any ideas on ways to call admissions and find out? haha I know the UFID might not work till tomorrow

My application went complete on 1/3
Comparative review 2/16
Comparative review again on 3/10
And now it says Final Decision reached 3/11

Hoping it's an acceptance! Has anyone tried the 'paying the seat deposit' trick through the phone? Like calling to pay a seat deposit to see if it's an acceptance?

I haven't tried through the phone but I tried doing it on the site online and it doesn't work just yet! Last year's thread said it didn't start working till around thursday or Friday.

If your status has changed to Final Decision Reached, you're in. From my own experience and years past, if you get that status and do not receive a rejection email, you're in. Rejections are sent via email and acceptances are sent via snail mail. So, congrats to those of you who are waiting for the letter!

According to LSN, there's already been at least one person admitted to the waitlist as early as December. UF seems to be a lot slower than other schools in the way they batch their decisions. It seems highly likely that all mailed decisions this month will be acceptances with more waitlists and rejections coming next month or the next batch.

Obviously, there's a chance a few people are receiving WL notices, but I would bet that most are acceptance letters. You should also have a good idea of your status based on your stats.

so from what I heard, there is one more batch this month, and then just pray you don't go into April? yikes.

While we're on the subject of the admissions timeline, from speaking with some people in the admissions office, it looks like remaining scholarship offers will be coming in now through the beginning of April. Makes sense that they will sort of drop off after that as most schools have April 15th deadlines for their scholarship offers. Apparently, they review new admits and previous admits each time they have a scholarship meeting.

Still haven't heard anything about $$ and my hopes aren't incredibly high at this point.

I believe there's also a way you can check if you got in before the letter comes if you were a UF undergrad or previous student because you already have a UFID. Can anyone confirm this?

(been sitting at All Required Documents Received as of 3/7, so not getting my hopes up yet, just wondering if I can save a day or two when the decision does eventually come)

Drove up and visited on Monday they gave me my scholarship offer 14,500 k a year for three years they sent the rest of the offers out that day to so most the people who are receiving a scholarship should be receiving the offer in a couple of days I think the offer is pretty fair since the only stipulation is good academic standing with a 2.0.
