I've had complete radio silence since roughly the same date. I'm assuming it's a YP thing with a WL coming down the pike. (Or maybe they didn't like the funky font I had to use to get my essays to fit their requirements.)

Did you get a separate email saying your application is under review? Last one I got was saying my application is complete...not sure if its the same thing.

I got an email from them titled "Greetings from UCLA Law" and my heart dropped, but it was just a request to fill out a survey about my visit Well trolled, guys.

applied 11/27. had a brief issue with my transcript from an overseas institution where i got my LLM, but was assured by staff that it was okay on 12/8 when i gave a transcript to them directly. by 1/8 my transcript was completely up to date on lsac.
is it normal to hear absolutely nothing for this long? wondering if something may have gotten confused, etc.

I applied mid- November and still havent heard anything. I'm at least hoping it's normal.

Yeah, it's the same thing. That's the last email you get until until you get a decision.

This is totally tinfoil hat territory, but there is supposedly a wave of Berkeley decisions coming on 2/6, so maybe they're waiting until those come in so they can cross reference who got acceptances in the Berkeley thread in order to exercise some YP waitlisting?

Well I'm in CA, so maybe that's why? But I applied 1/9 and went complete 1/16. PM for stats.

No it's not bad if you want to live and work in California. UCLA is one of the best schools outside of the T14 and it's the best Californian school outside the T14. If you got into UCLA especially with a bunch of scholarship money that would make it even better! I hope you get in.

If you get in you may be able to play Cornell, Georgetown, USC, and UCLA off each other to leverage extra merit based aid out of UCLA. I'm uncertain how UCLA is when it comes to scholarship money.

When I talked to him about financial aid/scholarships he seemed very open to negotiating. I haven't gotten an initial offer from them yet but he told me to send offers from other schools and they would take those into account.

When I spoke with him I was given the same impression. He even asked if I had received any offers yet. At the time I had been accepted at several schools but hadn't received any offers.
