Re: Stanford Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
SLS entering class profile says 408 offers (https://www.law.stanford.edu/facts/admi ... ata-scores) compared to 250 and 900 for Yale and HLS respectively (I think). Seems reasonable that Stanford would call everyone.lc39 wrote:She'll call. JS and Asha both call so I think there's some expectation that Stanford will make calls as well.lilyt93 wrote:I wonder if Dean Deal will still call now that they're down one person in such a small office. She must be so busy that I can't imagine her having the time this year to personally call everyone!

Wow, I never realized how small the office was... I always pictured a massive department, but I guess this makes more sense...lilyt93 wrote:The person who helped dean deal and the assistant dean left, so now it's just the two of them and someone who I think is just an office assistant.

Interesting! Just curious--how are we uncovering this information?lilyt93 wrote:The person who helped dean deal and the assistant dean left, so now it's just the two of them and someone who I think is just an office assistant.

Checking in.
Read thru the thread bc I applied 10/31, got the confirmation email, and then never got my status checker log in. Emailed over their winter closure and then again today and got back an email basically saying they're swamped with emails. Oy. Please just tell me I didn't forget to send something in! I've heard from everywhere else (except Northwestern).

I'm not sure how that first poster knew about it, but the admissions website confirms it. Maybe they're someone on the inside who posted it so that we would understand why there has been a delay.ThePinkRanger wrote:Interesting! Just walked past the office; can confirm desk is still empty.
If this is any indication, I've noticed the admissions office working really late on Friday nights since at least Thanksgiving.

Does this mean they're going to release one big batch of admits? Is that standard for them (vs a trickle or small waves)?Vincent wrote:Just walked past the office; can confirm desk is still empty.

it's probably more of an indication of Dean Deal's social life during the middle of the admissions cycle.Vincent wrote:Just walked past the office; can confirm desk is still empty.

Small waves was how it went last cycle but obviously this year is different in many ways.DiniMae wrote:Does this mean they're going to release one big batch of admits? Is that standard for them (vs a trickle or small waves)?Vincent wrote:Just walked past the office; can confirm desk is still empty.

Wait is that true? Do they send t-shirts with their acceptance package? That's pretty cool...

No, they don't send t-shirts, but you do get a nice moleskine. Duke sends shirts (or did last cycle), though they were laughably large on most people.pylon wrote:Wait is that true? Do they send t-shirts with their acceptance package? That's pretty cool...
