Yeah, I'm below a 25th percentile (by a fair bit) and they are interviewing me. So in my limited experience/sample, I think it's for marginal candidates or people where they may have one or two things they want to question more about. I bet they wont interview the perfect candidates.lc39 wrote:Right there with you with no invite and I'm trying not to worry about it. They got back to me today. They opened more interview slots between Jan 20th and the 23rd.Four Winds wrote:To those of you who were unable to sign up for an interview because none of the dates were available - have you heard back from CLS in response to your email? I'm getting a little nervous since today would be day five of the five days they gave us to book an appointment.

Seems like a lot of speculation about the meaning of the interviews, is there anything instructive we know from last year's interviewees?

Re: Columbia c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
from last year, it seems like everyone who was interviewed was borderline in one way or another — some were borderline admits, and some were borderline Hamilton/Butler candidates. people who were interviewed got held, later WLed, admitted, and admitted with Hamiltons/Butlers. I don't think many (any?) interviewees got straight denied though.DK21 wrote:Seems like a lot of speculation about the meaning of the interviews, is there anything instructive we know from last year's interviewees?

To be fair, he didn't say only autoadmits.curlietop86 wrote:aaah. i falsify that hypothesis - i'm media GPA, 25th percentile LSAT, and interviewing next week.Mack.Hambleton wrote:High statscurlietop86 wrote:what's an autoadmit?foamborn wrote:i believe they are interviewing autoadmits.

Re: Columbia c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
Hmm, but from the interview offers people posted ITT, there seem to be perfect candidates (number wise; i.e. above median/75th for both) who received the interview offer so I'm not too sure about that assumption eithersmile0751 wrote:Yeah, I'm below a 25th percentile (by a fair bit) and they are interviewing me. No one has been accepted RD yet, correct? They usually start rolling them out at the end of January via snail mail, right?

After submitting a little over a month ago I recieved an email from CLS saying my application is not complete and that my study abroad transcript is absent, and that I need it in order to be complete.
Is this normal? I was caught by total surprise considering that LSAC did not ask for this transcript (falls under the category I don't need to submit it for).

I also took an inordinate amount of time to go complete. I called, and it turned out I was missing something as well. Please do not be concerned.DCfilterDC wrote:After submitting a little over a month ago I recieved an email from CLS saying my application is not complete and that my study abroad transcript is absent, and that I need it in order to be complete.

Anyone with the experience of the interviews under their belt, it would be great to hear a bit about the experience. Based on the calendar they look like they must move very quickly...
