Yeah, that would be until the 3rd week of April, right?

Which is right before ASW, no?

I actually like Yale's sense of humor. (Or at least what I can gather of it from Twitter.) They don't seem to take themselves too seriously, which I think is generally a good thing.

I feel bad for the people Asha puts on blast, though. Poor people must be deluded into thinking their application is great, high off of the prospect of Yale. And then the dean puts their (admittedly ridiculous) essays/applications on blast. It has me hoping I didn't do the same.

Regarding whoever it was that wrote they wanted to go to YLS b/c it looks like Hogwarts, they have clearly never visited, because New Haven would quickly disabuse them of that notion.

...though the school itself is gorgeous, of course.

I agree, and I much prefer Yale's style of humor to Michigan's. For Yale, it's easy to be easygoing when you're the unquestioned best of the best.

And I wouldn't have been surprised if the meme read 11 more admits instead of 11 more weeks of admits.

Oh I don't mind Yale's sense of humor, I just think it's funny and unexpected that they're posting memes.

As I keep thinking about it, I find most of my thing with Yale to be pretty absurd on its face. I have no realistic chance of getting in and I committed a sin (sadly, not Hogwarts) that Asha wrote specifically to discourage, so what started out hopeless, somehow I managed to make even more so. This fact opens my heart to humor.

I know several current YLS students and a handful of alums and I am already preparing myself for their contorted faces and chuckles when I tell them that I didn't get in.

Did you not tuck in your periods? I had never seen it expressed as "tucking in," but I always "tucked" my periods and commas in because I thought that was the rule.

^^happy to share after I am put out of my misery. It's not nearly as much fun as a poem for the 250, sadly.

I sent in my application on November 30. Any idea of when I should expect the call if I get in?

When you throw a Yale Mary downfield, it'll take a while to reach the intended receiver. A.K.A it's a complete black box, you could hear tomorrow or in two months, good luck!

+1. Didn't know they did this, thought it was a cloak at first, assumed they were really going for the Hogwarts vibe lol
