I've been checking daily but I still can't schedule an interview. Am I doomed?

I think Dec 1st was the deadline to request interviews. You are only doomed if you have no work experience. When I met with one of the admissions people they said that it is extremely difficult to get in without an interview and work experience.PeanutsNJam wrote:I've been checking daily but I still can't schedule an interview. Does NU provide a latest response date to ED applicants?

Their web site says by the end of December, but I think that is a tentative time frame.luuma wrote:Does NU provide a latest response date to ED applicants?

The first ed acceptances have been in the middle of December the last couple years. I'm expecting some movement between tomorrow and next Friday.

If the complete date is still before December 1 (mine is November 13), do you think that means I shouldn't expect a response if there is movement today or tomorrow?

Are you ED? If you're RD you probably won't see anything until at least a bit after ED decisions start coming out.francis5 wrote:If the complete date is still before December 1 (mine is November 13), do you think that means I shouldn't expect a response if there is movement today or tomorrow?

I have a year of WE (right out of UG, no gap in resume), and I'm a hardcore splitter 2.4/172. I basically sent them an email begging for an interview, hope it works out.zz24 wrote:I think Dec 1st was the deadline to request interviews. You are only doomed if you have no work experience. We might see some movement today. Last year it happened Friday the 13th. I'm guessing next week though.

Are you basing that off anything other than last year's time frame? And yeah I think the tweet that announced it was a bit before 5 eastern time.

I really hope your feeling is right. It would be a great or terrible start to the weekend.
The RD update is a good sign.

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
ED supersplitter with several years work experience checking in. Wavering hour-by-hour between confidence that they'll accept me with the first wave (because, y'know, I'm a pretty awesome person and they'd be silly not to!) and dead certainty that I'll be held for RD, waitlisted, or even rejected. Feels like all the anxiety I didn't have about the LSAT has finally caught up with me. Glad to know it'll all be over soon.
Best of luck to fellow applicants (both those waiting with me, and those yet to finish their applications)... I hope to see you around campus Fall 2015!

Does anybody know if those who aren't accepted ED are usually deferred to RD or simply rejected/waitlisted?

Have you contacted them to make sure there isn't an error somewhere? Don't they say on the status checker you should go complete after 2-4 days?bound wrote:I'm still not complete from my interview lol

Both can happen. Deferred to RD seems more common especially among competitive applicants. From what I saw on TLS and LSN last year, there really was only one batch of ED acceptances. They all came on the 13th.
