I'm a girl.TheodoreKGB wrote:It's weird that this guy got deferred with 170/3.3 given the state of things (assuming he's genuine, of course).jhskim wrote:I got deferred to round 2 ED as well and was wondering a couple things:
1. what was the usual outcome for people who got deferred to ED round 2 from round 1 in the past? (deferred to RD vs accept vs reject)
2. I mentioned in an addendum that I was strongly considering retaking the December LSAT - could this have affected their decision?
I realize I could find the answer to 1 on my own by looking at past threads but I thought I would ask in case anybody knew already
I don't know why you think anyone would take the time to post made-up statistics on an anonymous forum.
In case anybody would like an update, I've withdrawn from ED but asked to be considered for RD.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
Not the person who posted that but unfortunately people have been known to do that (post fake stats/admissions decisions) with some measure of frequency on this forum and other sites. Sometimes it's hard to tell if a user with only a few posts is legitimate or trolling.
Anyway thank you for the update. Sorry to hear about that deferral but good luck with RD at Cornell and the rest of your cycle elsewhere.

Bahaha yes I'm new and I've yet to understand the reasoning behind wanting to deceive strangers on law admission forums out of all places
Thanks and good luck to you too!

Theyre taking pretty long this year... Who knows, maybe my fall grades will be in by the time they review my app.

A slow year? I was under "verifying materials" last cycle for like a month and a half. As was 90% of the other tlsers lol. I think Cornell in general is just slow - this cycle is obviously no exception.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
The exception is that last year Cornell started giving out RD acceptances 11/21 whereas this year no one (even day 1 submitters) has been accepted RD yet. So it does seem slower in that respect.bound wrote:90convoy wrote:yeah this is def a slow year for them. I was looking forward to the Cornell decision about a week ago!

Woah already? I havent even wrote my final exams yet! Due to a crappy first two years, this semester can actually make a difference for me, I should go up 0.1 assuming exams dont drop me too much.Dream_weaver32 wrote:No kidding my grades come out next friday, It isn't going to matter much though I'll move up like .03 maybecanadianbrother wrote:Theyre taking pretty long this year... New numbers are up for 2014.
166(0) -167(0) - 169(+2)
3.55(+.03) - 3.68(+.02) - 3.76(+.03)

75% LSAT went up 2, damn.

Seems like more of a course correction. It was 169 both of the previous two years. Odd that 50th and 75th were both 167 last year really.usernotfound wrote:New numbers are up for 2014.

Back when there was only 1 ED I was deferred to regular with similar stats but then accepted almost immediately after that.jhskim wrote:I'm a girl.TheodoreKGB wrote:It's weird that this guy got deferred with 170/3.3 given the state of things (assuming he's genuine, of course).jhskim wrote:I got deferred to round 2 ED as well and was wondering a couple things:

Ah. Well, after I asked them to release me from ED I got automatically put on the reserve, although I was under the impression that I'd be considered with other regular applicants around February.guinness1547 wrote:Back when there was only 1 ED I was deferred to regular with similar stats but then accepted almost immediately after that.jhskim wrote: I got deferred to round 2 ED as well and was wondering a couple things:

Complete 12/4. I submitted 11/18. Does that seem strangely quick for Cornell? It took almost two months for me last time.
