I just got an email that started with "Congratulations from dean..." I got super excited thinking it was an acceptance email. Turns out they just congratulated me on the LSAT and asked me to apply. Greatest troll of all time.

Applied 10/18
Interview request 10/22
Interview 10/27
How likely is it that I'll be offered admission after interviewing? Do interviews and offers usually go hand in hand?

Completely anecdotal, but judging by last year's waiting thread, I would guess over 90% of people who were invited to interview got in. There were exceptions, but not many. Good luck!megs2015 wrote:Applied 10/18

I applied 9/29, had my interview 10/14 and was offered admission 10/21. That may vary some depending on your stats, though.megs2015 wrote:Applied 10/18

Thanks everyone! I am just amazed to see such a quick turnaround, less than 4 days total!

Congrats. That's awesome. Have to say I'm jealous. We interviewed the same day, I think.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
Just got the email congratulating me on my lsat, inviting me to apply and they offered to have me visit. It says they will assist me with the cost and hotel but doesn't give a specific number. Anyone know an idea about how much this is? I was planning to apply anyway but I have never been to St Louis and would love to check it out.

It's $200 total. Not hotel and an additional $200.valen wrote:I hear they pay for hotel and give you a $200 stipendMtnGinger wrote:Just got the email congratulating me on my lsat, inviting me to apply and they offered to have me visit. That's why I was confused because it says help with the cost plus lodging and it gave two specific hotel names so I thought that implied the hotel was paid for if I stayed there.LET'S GET IT wrote:It's $200 total. Hmm. Well maybe they have changed it since last year. I feel jipped. In my "why wustl" essay I talk about specific courses and clinics I'm interested in, and a little about the location. Do you guys think there is anything else I should add?

I think that is basically what they want to hear. You should be good. There are always other things you could add, but I would stay with the things that sincerely interest you in WASHU.valen wrote:In my "why wustl" essay I talk about specific courses and clinics I'm interested in, and a little about the location. Thanks both! Would either of you be willing to read through my essay and call me out on anything that sounds insincere or bullsh*t?scottidsntknow wrote:I agree, sounds good to me!LET'S GET IT wrote:I think that is basically what they want to hear.
