What difference does it make though? Would they accept someone instead of WL them based on where they deposited? Or the other way around? Don't think so...they already decided on us

I tend to think this too, especially since Johann said they were finished reviewing holds.leigh912198972 wrote:Slimz89 wrote:Prediction: tomorrow, once they find out where everyone deposited.jk148706 wrote:Prediction: So many WLs today

If someone is deposited at HYSCCN, then it would make sense that they are probably not going to attend, so they could pull people off WL.leigh912198972 wrote:Slimz89 wrote:Prediction: tomorrow, once they find out where everyone deposited.jk148706 wrote:Prediction: So many WLs today

FYI, schools can't see where you have deposited unless you have deposited there. Meaning NU doesn't see where we've deposited, because none of us on hold have deposited at NU.
What they CAN DO is see which of their admits has double deposited. I'm not sure when NU requires people to withdraw from other schools, but this is presumably the first step in that process.

Either today or Friday ....I've never seen them release decisions on a Thursday.
Usually Monday, Wednesday, Friday...but I may be wrong.
I graduate Friday ...I need something good to happen here lolol

So wait, if schools make you withdraw your candidacy from other schools with the second deposit, how could anyone ride the waitlist at a different school?Glasseyes wrote:FYI, schools can't see where you have deposited unless you have deposited there. I just thought if a school takes you off their waitlist you lose the deposit to the first school and that's it, but if you have to withdraw your candidacy how can that be the case?

AFAIK, most schools don't force to you come off waitlists, just rescind acceptance offers.SowhatsNU wrote:Glasseyes wrote:FYI, schools can't see where you have deposited unless you have deposited there. Meaning NU doesn't see where we've deposited, because none of us on hold have deposited at NU.

Re: Held at Northwestern c/o 2017
johann just tweeted!!
"Having a server issue- the bulk of hold decisions (admit, waitlist, deny) are scheduled for release tomorrow."
this means that not all the decisions going out tmrw is waitlist, as johann included "admit, waitlist, deny"
