Good luck to everyone still waiting, and congrats to those who have been admitted. :)

About the fee waiver, I am not up to date with all the lingo, but I just emailed them and asked if I qualified for one. They replied with the code. It could be b/c of my residency, veteran status, or it sounds like maybe it was due to being close to deadline. No matter the reason, ask and you shall receive!

I have a big decision to make between staying here in my hometown or moving up to Dallas... I'm still hoping for UT, though.
IMO, UT would be the only thing to rip me from Houston! Unless, you enjoy Dallas that much, why is it even a consideration, if you don't mind?

In via email. It says I get a formal acceptance letter soon. Will I get scholarship info then as well or is that separate?

Thing is, I don't know how I feel about Dallas. I visited a couple of weeks ago and really liked the school/campus itself, but I was only there for a day. So I can't really formulate an opinion on the city. I know SMU is a pretty good law school, that's really the only reason.

I also know I really hate the cowboys and other sports teams in the area. Trying really hard not to let that affect my decision :P

My $0.02, not that it's worth that much, is to go to the one that best fits your needs. Have you tried law-school.findthebest.com? It has a comparison feature to view both schools side by side so you can get a better picture of which would be a better fit for you.

It's only a sign that UH has a slower process. Its website says mid-May for regular decision.

No luck negotiating my scholly, so I'm out-- hope one of you guys gets my spot! I'm pretty sad, Houston's grown on me a lot over the past few years. Oh well- onto bigger and better things (I hope!)
