Also, 1000+ internets to whoever answers a bonus question: when do student loans usually get disbursed?
I'll do my best...
1. Admitted Students Day is April 11th. I know most people go to this. If you live close, you can schedule a tour whenever you are free. Some of the students even give tours in b/w classes!
2. I am from out of state, but I looked online and spoke with 2L's and 3L's in the facebook group for my graduating year and they gladly answered questions I had about all of the apartment places.
3. I signed kind of late in July which was tough because I couldn't move in until 2 days before class started. The whole ILSP I was in a hotel and had to pay for that until my apartment was ready. If you are committed to UF and have time, I would find a place and sign as quickly as you feel comfortable.
4. My answer to 3 kind of blends in. I got in the night before ILSP and then moved in Saturday before class. It was a little rushed but I had no problems. The first few days of class the teachers were very helpful and not overwhelming us.
BONUS: Loans got disbursed maybe 2 weeks into the school year. They were released in time to pay tuition and same goes for 2nd semester.
