Just got the call!

I submitted my app on 12/29, so it was a big surprise that they got back to me in a week!
My numbers are higher than a few who have been offered $, but there was no mention of it for me.

I applied a little over a month ago and they also got back to me quickly. Same story, I have a higher LSAT and GPA than some who have been offered money, but I got zero mention of it. I wonder how receptive UCLA is to negotiating financial aid packages? I'd love to go to UCLA...but I just can't afford to without a decent scholarship.

It's never too late dude. At an admissions event a couple months ago Rob Schwartz said you should submit when you think your application is at its best, even if its February 1st. You're probably in with the "rest of the general population pool" at this point but it doesn't mean you have a worse prospect.

Has anyone who applied to the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy heard back yet? Would they make this decision at the same time as admission? Just curious as I submitted late Oct (# in profile) and am really hoping to hear some good news soon!

Accepted with scholarship!
Applied 10/28, but didn't go complete until 1/7/14 because I re-took the LSAT in December.
Below 25th GPA, above 75th LSAT. PM for specifics.

Very surprised at the fast turnaround, although I guess they could have already reviewed the other components of my application.

Just got the call! First acceptance of the year! Was so excited and embarrassed at the same time cause I was and still am at the gym, so I was out of breath when I picked up lol.

During my acceptance phone call, the admissions director acknowledged that I applied to the program, but he said they'd need a month or two before making final decisions about who gets in. It's possible that some people have gotten in to the program already, but I'm not sure about that.

The program is the main reason I applied to UCLA, so even though I got in to the school itself, I still feel like I'm in that waiting phase.

This is surprising, especially with that GPA. Law schools really value the LSAT score more I guess.

You should retake with those stats. It's worth it and with enough effort you can get into a program leagues better than UCLA.

I did, but I submitted much before that. They didn't complete my file because of a pending December LSAT. I'm not sure what exactly that meant for their review of my file, though.

Schools don't even get a notification if your file isn't complete. LSAC handles all that and just holds it until everything's there. Source - one of the admissions guys at UCLA told me a couple months ago in reference to a question about December takers.

My file completed on the 17th and I heard back on the 6th.

I should probably amend that to say I already had an LSAT score when I submitted, so I had everything I needed, but it's their policy not to review if you are registered for another one, and I was.
