Does anyone know how far in advance they let you know when the interview will be? For example, if I said I'm available from 1-5 on Mondays, will they email me tomorrow morning and ask to interview later that day?
I don't know how much advance notice they give but I received and responded to an interview request last Monday and haven't heard anything back so there is nothing unusual about how long it is taking in case you were worried about that.
I heard about an interview on a Friday. Scheduled the interview that day over email for the next Wednesday. I was able to list some times that worked for me and my interviewer just picked one of those.

I heard back about scheduling the interview the next day after I received the request. I just gave him some times that worked for me and then he picked one of those. I actually had the interview last Monday and it was very relaxed. Most of the interview just consisted of me asking him questions about the curriculum/community at uva.

I haven't heard back yet. He told me at the end of the interview that it shouldn't be too much longer though. So I'm hoping I'll hear back from them sometime this week maybe!

Has anyone who's gotten in and done an interview in-state?

My residency status says pending, but I had my interview last week so I'm hoping the residency status wont slow down my decision

I've been locked out of my account for a week or so. If there had been any change in my status, I'd have received an email or phone call or letter, right? I can assume that radio silence even without being able to look at my status checker is still radio silence?

*sigh* I sat through your waitlist, UVA. I applied early, UVA. Not even interview love for a reapplicant splitter? :(

Would absolutely love to get in to UVA, but my stats are not the best. Still, going to give it a go and hope for the best.

You've got a strong shot with a 170. GPA may hurt a little, but I still think you're in for strong consideration.

Residency status should take, at most, 2 weeks. So, if it has been longer, contact the office of Virginia Status.

Would be awesome, but yeah, GPA is gonna hurt me. Still, I'm willing to pay sticker at UVA.

Has anyone gotten in RD sans interview yet (sorry if I missed someone farther back in the thread)? If you fit these qualifications, are you in-state?

Wondering when I should start getting nervous...

Anyone interview that was not in a YP position... I know it was said earlier that interviews were thought to be for YP and then people on the borderline, any update to that?

I interviewed. I'm 170/3.49 so certainly not YP, but I am in-state so not sure if that would make a difference...

Interviewed last Thursday but haven't heard anything yet.

This has happened in the past. Once invited for an interview the waitlist/rejection probabilities lower, but are definitely not eliminated.

A lot of us wrote Why UVA essays. As long as your writing is strong in the essay it can only help your chances, but make sure you devote proper time to the essay and don't make it just an after thought. Wishing you and all of us that are waiting the best of luck! Charlottesville is definitely an amazing town.
