Of course they're not going to telling you that some people already have scholarships. They're waiting to see who accepts out of their initial group then reallocate the remaining amount.tony2167 wrote:Just got off the phone with the admissions office and they said the seat deposit is April 15th. They made no mention of scholarship students needing to respond by April 1st, and said that financial aid letters are actually being mailed on that day (although I think most of us have already heard of our awards via e-mail).

I wasn't expecting them to tell me who has scholarships? Not sure how you got that from my post.
I was just worried about the date because other posters in here were saying scholarship recipients had to submit a deposit by the 1st. I told the person of my scholarship and she didn't say I needed to deposit by the 1st.
edit: Just called them back to double check and was told that I had to deposit by April 12 and that the dates are different for each scholarship recipient.

Just hand delivered my seat deposit. They told me award letters were going out Monday.
Also, they give hugs. Lots of hugs.

Same here. Sounds like they will be...but I don't know about money in our case.

Yeah I also got waitlisted today. Im pretty sure I will end up withdrawing from the waitlist because I was accepted by Iowa and I doubt Richmond will offer any money to me off the waitlist. Anyone have advice/opinions?csungrl09 wrote:25thPercentileGuy wrote:Got regular waitlisted yesterday via snail mail. All three of my Virginia options are all waitlist now. Seeing as Richmond doesn't give out a lot of money, I bet that a bunch of people will be withdrawing. If you're on their whitelist I doubt you will see a dime.
I didn't get squat and I have a 3.66 and 161.
Higher ranked schools shave given me half scholarships. Peer and lower ranked schools gave me full rides.

You guys would be content with paying sticker? I assume they don't provide merit aid to those on the waitlist?

No. I wouldn't pay sticker. If it's like last year some merit aid is provided to waitlist people. I only know this through LSN though.dirtrida2 wrote:You guys would be content with paying sticker? I assume they don't provide merit aid to those on the waitlist?

Re: University of Richmond c/o 2016
I personally would be fine paying sticker. My numbers suck. And I don't want to go to a TTT, thus I am looking at paying sticker where ever I go. In addition, I want to do family law, which U of R has a center for. Furthermore, I want to practice in VA. I already have hefty debt from undergrad so I am not scared of a high COA.dirtrida2 wrote:You guys would be content with paying sticker? That person's profile just said 'accepted' when I looked. Good to know that.1Mwaiting2016 wrote:Look at the "EnglishMajor13" user.25thPercentileGuy wrote:I might be overlooking it but I didn't see any waitlist movement on LSN. Not true peer schools, I shouldn't have used that term.
I should have said USNWR ranking peers.

Got a call from Dean Rahman this morning, accepted off the Priority WL. Still weighing some options, but good luck to you all.

Thank you to everyone that has withdrawn! According to LawSchoolNumbers about four people have already made the leap from priority to admitted. And now we wait.

Re: University of Richmond c/o 2016
For anyone interested, Richmond doesn't seem to negotiate scholarships. I sent an email to the generic law admissions address yesterday asking to whom I should address a question about additional merit aid and got a call from one of the deans last night. Was basically told they don't have extra funds right now.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
