Thank you! I went complete mid November.. I applied ED and then got waitlisted (DR) the last week of December. Loyola was my #1 so I did a campus tour, met the admissions staff. Then I went to their open house, talked to the Asst. Dean/Dean of Enrollment and asked them if I could arrange a meeting... That was last Monday, and I received my acceptance this Monday!!! I am so honored and I can't wait to attend this Fall.

Loyola is beginning to look like a viable option for me. I think we have briefly mentioned full-rides, but haven't exactly gone in to detail. What is the best way to go about getting one without sounding like a huge douche ( I have a $90k scholly)? Phone call? Email? In person?

Apparently I had a decision rendered today. I haven't checked loyolas status page in weeks, so it was nice to see the day I checked was the day a decision was made

. Here is hoping for an acceptance and a nice schools offer .

Without anything close to a full ride I wouldn't but assumed I had leverage after getting the offer from USC. Was surprised I didn't get any money from Loyola.

Yeah, that makes sense. And I'm guessing you could for sure negotiate with that USC offer. I'm super surprised you didn't get offered anything as well.

Schools don't offer money to those far above their 75th's because they know those applicant won't enroll. Why hold 96k for someone that's more likely to be persuaded by a small offer at SC/LA than someone who is competitive at Hastings/Davis/Pepperdine and thus more likely to be compelled to attend LLS w/ a large scholarship?

For those of you that got in, did you receive any changes in your status beforehand? Like after going complete, did your status change to in review or something similar? There has literally been no change since mine went complete.

good news/bad news. applications have fallen off a cliff increasing admit chances, but job prospects are the worst they've ever been. don't know whether to feel encouraged or discouraged.

I can't remember off the top of my head when i went complete(its on LSN, but the site is too slow to reliably use it at the moment). I remember it taking a while to verify becoming complete, and maybe 2 weeks after that for my decision rendered.

But i submitted 1/4 and it said decision rendered 2/6

of course. I am in LA, hence the fast turnaround time. Give it a couple of business days, i'd say.
