I have to say, they seem to be working pretty hard to protect their yield this year.
Skadden. Wow.
A W&M alum at Skadden is insane.
Actually according to martindale search, there are about 10 w &m alumni at Skadden,
hope they can assign me an alumni to meet up for a chat too, start getting interested about this school . Unfortunately there seems no big firm at Miami area.

Is there a facebook group or TLS thread for admitted students yet?
Also wondering if anyone has any pics of campus? Not much on the website.

Received my package today. about that scholarship it says' scholarships awarded out-of -state students are prorated if the student applies for and is granted Virginia domicile for tuition purpose."
Does this mean if I gained VA residency the second academic year, the school would take away or reduce my scholarship?
Thanks

Accepted with a 165 3.45, lots of ROTC/military softs.
I live in Williamsburg now and attend the undergrad school. If you have questions about the campus or area, feel free to send me an email at
pcjudge@email.wm.edu.

I received my letter today too and assumed that it was just referring to the Fellowship, the $9000 plus $4000 stipend. Can anyone confirm this? Still not sure how I feel about a work-study situation, but $4000 is a lot for 10 hours a week.

Mine only said 12000 per year for scholarship, automatically renew for 3 years. It doesn't mention any work I have to do.
My friend told me that sentence in the letter means ,if I get VA residency the second year, my scholarship amount = the first year amount * ( in-state tuition/out-state tuition), so it definetly will decrease at least 1/3

posting for a friend that got in recently, anyone know how good W&M is in cali? and if there is a reason to take them over Loyola or Pepperdine? (since she would rather go to W&M then those)

If s/he definitely wants to get back to CA, W&M probably isn't the best choice. It'll help that your friend has ties to the area, but a local school is always a better bet outside the t-14. UC Davis is another option with better employment stats than either Pepperdine or Loyola. If your friend can get into W&M, s/he can probably get into Davis.

Hey everyone. I was accepted with $45,000 back in November but I'm just now posting. I was wondering if anybody would be interested in starting a forum for our class oriented towards general introductions and socialization.

Got my letter with a $13,000 work/study fellowship. Out of curiosity - did everyone else get handwritten notes? What did they say? Just wondering.

I did. Said something like...we are excited about your record and experience and believe you will be an outstanding member of W&M class.

And same here. I figured it was generic enough that it was likely used as a standby. Now I know for sure!
For the record, I'm not judging them for that. I was just curious.

I'd also be interested in this. How do you want to set it up? I looked on here, and there doesn't seem to be a place for it, but we can probably just pick one that seems close enough.

You just go to the class of 2016 forum and start a "William and Mary Class of 2016" thread. Or you could start a "In at William and Mary thread" in this forum. That's what others before you have done.

I occasionally forget that I applied to W&M since it's been like almost five months of radio silence on my application. I'm starting to get a little annoyed about it now that I do think about it. Something, anything, would be nice.

If anybody has any questions regarding Williamsburg or questions about campus feel free to PM me or ask here (might not check as regularly). I can't comment on the law school but did undergrad there. Hoping to return to the Burg.

Campus is absolutely beautiful. It is very green and sits right next to Colonial Williamsburg.I believe WM even has the most unique species of trees or something like that as well (or so it seems that way). As for the law school, it is located in it's own little area near the tennis facilities. The library and school are very nice and right by CW as well. It is only like a 10 minute walk or so to the rest of the campus.
