For those accepted, is the admitted student login info highly generic, like:
Username: lsac number + password: email
If so I can game snail mail and see early if accepted..?

Was the admitted student log in info general or personalized?Ramsey wrote:In with 20K/yr. Received the letter a few days ago.

Nothing I the mail today. Other than my credit card billJonathk1 wrote:Yes, the online status checker showed that a "decision was rendered" and received the actual decision through snail mail today. USPS package waiting for me today (decision made on the 16th). In with 20K per year and a really nice handwritten note. Referenced my personal statement and my blog (which I didn't know they would read!). Very exciting!

Re: Notre Dame Class of 2016 Applicants
Just got back from a waitlisted students visit day. ND's campus is unbelievable. Maybe it's because I'm coming from a TTT state school, but just walking around the campus I got a really unique feel that I wasn't used to. All the buildings are incredibly nice and everything looks brand new, and the law school in particular had really nice facilities. We got to ask questions of the assistant director of admissions, and of course someone asked about when waitlisted students can expect to get a decision. He said they won't even look at the waitlist until after April 20, so no one on the WL will hear back sooner than early May or so, which is pretty frustrating. He didn't particularly make it sound promising and didn't really encourage us at all, although he was very candid in his answers to other questions about ND's programs, which I appreciated. Anyway, all in all a good visit, and definitely made me want to go there more than I did before, but I'm not really getting my hopes up after the conversation with the admissions officer.

They had a waitlisted students visit day? Or are you a waitlisted student which happened to visit?Xs20 wrote:Just got back from a waitlisted students visit day. ND's campus is unbelievable. Re: Notre Dame Class of 2016 Applicants
I'm not sure if it was specifically for waitlisted students, it might've just been called a prospective student day or something.
Also forgot to mention something else the assistant director of admissions mentioned that sucked. Someone asked if people who get in off the waitlist can expect any scholarship money, and he said that most likely nobody off the WL will get any money this year.

After a lot of thought, I withdrew from my application from the wait list today. Hopefully it will help some of you other waitlisted folks move up and get in.
Best of luck everyone.

Yes, I haven't updated the blog in about 2 years and it was mostly recipes and pictures of my cat. But I guess it is a fair representation of me, so I'm glad they liked it enough to mention it! She also mentioned my cat by name and said that we would be very happy at NDLS. Seriously, the nicest acceptance yet!mg7 wrote:Congrats! For those who have been accepted already, is the admitted students login and password generic in any way??
My decision was made 1/24 and I want to see if it's possible to check by trying to login rather than waiting on snail mail.

It's generic so there is no way to guess your status. I got my package on the 19th after my status changed on the 16th. Hang in there and good luck!hope14 wrote:For those who have been accepted already, is the admitted students login and password generic in any way??![]()

I've been following this thread, and I was just wondering, for everyone accepted, if the decision is really sent priority mail. I applied early January and a decision was made 24 Jan, and I just wanted to know how long it should take to get here-if I've been accepted.

Sent priority mail, arrived at my apartment door, not my mail slot. Cost them ~$6 to send.humblepie777 wrote:I've been following this thread, and I was just wondering, for everyone accepted, if the decision is really sent priority mail. Re: Notre Dame Class of 2016 Applicants
OK, I have another question-this is going to sound ridiculous, but for those accepted, what did your screen say on the status page if you can remember? Did it say, "The Admissions Committee has completed their review of your application. Your decision has been mailed to you. We DO NOT release decisions by telephone or email..." etc? Also, does the adcom tend to make decisions in batches (like WL all on the 16th, accept all on the 7th, deny all on the 15th)? I know this sounds crazy, but Notre Dame is my #1 choice, and I'd really rather try to deduce whether or not I was rejected now than get a letter in the mail.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
