Stanford Law tweet says they're closed until Jan 7. Not sure if that applies to admissions too.

I'm a 1L at Stanford and I've walked by Dean Deal's office multiple times over the past week. The lights have been out every time I've gone by. Unless she's working from home, I wouldn't expect much to happen until faculty returns on the 7th.

Checking in. App submitted today after Dec LSAT.

171/4.0. Really have no shot due to late application and 167 October LSAT score along with ordinary, non-cancer-curing softs, but you only live once so you do what you gotta do.

Couple questions...

1) What type of timetable are we seeing from submitted-->review-->decision? 2/3 months? For me, should I be expecting an answer in March/April?

2) Does SLS offer any merit aid?

3) For those admitted / denied, how were you informed of their decision? I'm still stranded from my apartment because of Sandy and USPS mail forwarding is spotty, at best.

1) There is no decision. Faye Deal had a short blog post about it: "Fuck you guys, we're going to TJ." I can only assume that by "TJ" they meant "Tijuana."

2) I have no idea.

Checking in as well with identical numbers as this guy and as best I can tell from reading his posts similar softs (he and I have basically been living out Life of Brian the last 24 hours).

However, I applied 6 hours earlier than him so I'm pretty positive that gives me a big bump.

Please read the threads you are posting in. Part of the answer to this question is at the top of this very page. Have some faith in the process, they will send you some sort of acknowledgement at some point in the future.

Seems doubtful that they're still out. Maybe they're just waiting a bit longer this cycle because of decreased applicant pool and yada yada.

maybe they are so disappointed with the applicant pool, they are just going to skip this year all together. There will be no class of 2016 -- Stanford sets the precedent.

I live pretty close actually... but I am not quite ready to sacrifice myself for the group. If there is no movement by the end of the month, I'll think about it
