If we don't receive anything by early this week then the 3 update theory is definitely wrong.LaMuSayonga wrote:Checking in late. RD, also updated on 10/1, 10/11, and 10/15, but I've not received anything in the mail yet. Here's hoping for good news soon.

I really think it has to be it though. I am an ED so they have to notify me soon and I have been updated 3 times. It is a little confusing whether they guarantee to mail it out in 3 weeks or inform you in 3 weeks. If it is the latter then my decision needs to come tomorrow if it is the former then they have to mail it out tomorrow. I was 10/1---10/11---10/17 and I couldn't see them updating me again. We will find out in the next couple days one way or another.

Maybe they accidentally dropped the 10/15 batch in the trash instead of a USPS drop off box...

The website says "decision will be mailed within 3 weeks of your complete date." There will be a lot of mail going out on Monday for the 10/1 complete crew. Keep in mind if you agree to an interview that changes the timeline. Lastly, this is assuming that they keep up to their end of the ED agreement.hunter.d wrote:+1JedBartlett wrote:If we don't receive anything by early this week then the 3 update theory is definitely wrong.LaMuSayonga wrote:Checking in late. Has anyone gone through the interview and care to share?

they could just waitlist you and that solves their 3 week problem.

So if I don't get an update tomorrow then I guess I can assume they mailed it on 10/17 and the 3 update theory holds, for ED at least. That is also assuming they hold up their end of the deal on 3 weeks, as you said Manhattan.

Or roll you over to regular decision, which is tantamount to a waitlist. I heard there is a priority waitlist, but I haven't seen such things on the website.TheThriller wrote:they could just waitlist you and that solves their 3 week problem.

Either that or they dropped them in the right place but then Newman was put in charge of sorting them.one_by_one wrote:Maybe they accidentally dropped the 10/15 batch in the trash instead of a USPS drop off box...

They will notify you if you are waitlisted. Probably the Newman thing though.

Not sure but they have to tell you something in 3 weeks.Just wrote:you mean for ED?by snail mail?hunter.d wrote:They will notify you if you are waitlisted. Probably the Newman thing though.
"When applying via Early Decision, your decision will be mailed within 3 weeks of your complete date if your application is complete with all required documents by February 1."
"What decision may I receive by applying through the Early Decision process?
Admit, Deny, Waitlist, or Defer."
Waitlist or Defer counts as a decision so it has to be communicated within 3 weeks. So the website says....

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
So as the psycho ED applicant of the group I went through last years thread pretty extensively. Looks like to me a moderate correlation to the 3 date theory. There definitely was a lot of people who were post-marked from their last (3rd) completed date but it varied how long it took from that (blame that on USPS). I saw anything from 2 days to over a week. Some people said they had more than 3 but that might just be them not knowing the difference between received and completed. Also, looks like there is "complete" and "application completed". I do not know if there is really a difference there and I can't remember what mine was before but I am at "application completed" with 3rd date at 10/17. Anyone have a different status.

Accepted RD yesterday- I think the three status update is right, but there are three after complete date. 10/1--10/11--10/16--10/18. Good luck everyone!
