I would be encouraged =). In any case I don't think it's a bad thing. At worst it's because they want to clarify something in your app or have specific questions about your app. But I can't imagine that they would bother to talk to someone that they were planning on rejecting. It's probably not to gauge your interest since you're already an ED applicant.Nickg415 wrote:So just got an email asking to do a phone interview with the dean of admissions. I have been UCR at Penn since 11/20. It's been longer for other schools...Crowing wrote:I'm interested in this also if anybody has any info.senorhosh wrote:Also anyone know if there is a twitter of some sort that gives status on major updates like this? I think they had one for last cycle.
It says on the Penn status page that "the review process may take up to twelve weeks from the date of completion before a decision is rendered."

I sure hope so. I interviewed with GULC and NU and had never heard upenn interviewing and it seems like acceptance calls are random. Either way I think your right and in just going to apply the same logic to wait listing mecusenation wrote:I would be encouraged =). In any case I don't think it's a bad thing. Date of completion is wayyy before 11/20 for most of us.dpm54 wrote:I have been UCR at Penn since 11/20. How do you know if you are in ucr 2? I went complete on 9/14 and didn't check until this week but I have ucr from 11/15? 17X 3.6.

Oh my date of completion is very early also. I misread that 12 weeks thing as being from 11/20 for some reason.shntn wrote:Date of completion is wayyy before 11/20 for most of us.dpm54 wrote:I have been UCR at Penn since 11/20. UCR2 12/4
UCR1 was 11/19
I submitted RD and went complete at the front edge of the cycle.

I'm gonna guess that we don't hear tomorrow either. It'll be Friday, like it was last cycle.

Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
Just finished my phone interview with Dean Post. Basically asked why do I want to go into Law and why do I want to make the move from the west. Overall it was an enjoyable interview. I wasn't offered admissions on the spot but she said she would get back to me shortly. I'm hoping this happens. UPenn is by far my #1.

Thanks! For some reason, since it didn't end with her extending an offer I felt like it went poorly. But only time will tell. I am ED so hopefully we hear back soon.soccer88 wrote:

What's the consensus on timing for RD decisions in comparison with the ED ones? Similar to NYU with a few lag days, or same time?

Last year ED acceptances started on 12/9 and RD acceptances started on 12/16, exactly a week later.dsn32 wrote:What's the consensus on timing for RD decisions in comparison with the ED ones? Similar to NYU with a few lag days, or same time?

Good to know! Thank you! All of these potential decisions would fall right during the week that I'll have massive amounts of time on my hands for studying, or refreshing status checkers constantly.02889 wrote:Last year ED acceptances started on 12/9 and RD acceptances started on 12/16, exactly a week later.dsn32 wrote:What's the consensus on timing for RD decisions in comparison with the ED ones?
