Someone posted in the Cornell thread a few days ago that historically Cornell doesn't admit very many deferrals. Just got the hold email 3.7/168. What are the odds of later being admitted. Should I assume this will eventually be a rejection?

Only other thing I can think of is that I have a gap because of medical leave two years ago, which I explained in an addendum. Pretty lame if they held a medical issue against me. Who knows what it is, though. Weird because I've gotten into several other schools with same exact application. Oh well. Maybe they just didn't like me.bobbyh1919 wrote:Sounds like a YP then.

Got the hold letter yesterday (12/22) and on my application status it says decision rendered 12/22. Was the decision my hold, or did they hold me and then decide in the same day?

I was put on hold as well, and I also had a medical issue during UG that required an addendum. I don't have OP's awesome numbers though. Enjoy Stanford or w/e.birdfl wrote:Only other thing I can think of is that I have a gap because of medical leave two years ago, which I explained in an addendum. It's been a very odd cycle for several people. Hopefully I am an outlier. If you have the numbers you should still have a solid crack at the school.ColumbiaChamp wrote:wow. Now, I am worried!catholicgirl wrote:Dinged too

Pretty weird. You'd think being Catholic would be a boost at BC. :/catholicgirl wrote:Dinged too

Why are ND and BC so difficult to gauge? They constantly ding people with above average stats. I don't get it. Does BC favor MA residents? It's obviously not a catholic bias.catholicgirl wrote:Right?
