Anyone who completed in December heard back yet? I submitted 12/5, completed 12/6 and not a word since.

Every time I get an email I freak. I feel that a reject/WL is inevitable now.

Re: UCLA 2011-2012 (class of 2015)
I got accepted to NYU in December; I guess they are more friendly to splitters. If I hadn't heard from NYU, the UCLA waitlist would have sent me into a steep downward spiral of depression and self-loathing (j/k ... kinda). Thankfully for my mental health's sake, NYU was prompt in accepting me. I think I will have to pay sticker for NYU tho; a $ offer from UCLA would have been really tempting, I really loved that place. Oh well. Congratulations to all of you that are in. UCLA is awesome.cactuarX3 wrote:THIS is shocking! I have heard that UCLA hates low GPAs, but come on, 174 is a ridiculously high LSAT. They should totally cut you some slack.nsbane wrote:Waitlisted. 3.4 gpa and 174 LSAT. Bummed a little because UCLA was my undergrad.

I got in with a 3.5, so I'm wondering if it's a little bit of yp-ing going on... An LOCI might be all it takes for them to be convinced that you're serious about UCLA, though I'd probably trade ucla AND my firstborn child to go to NYU... But seriously, congrats on NYU!nsbane wrote:I got accepted to NYU in December; I guess they are more friendly to splitters. Dinged today with a 3.65/164. I wasn't expecting an acceptance but it would've been a nice surprise.

Is it too early to try to negotiate scholarships from UCLA? People with my numbers have received between 20,000-30,000 a year so far, and I didn't get anything. I already have 76,500 from Texas, and full tuition at Minnesota(not like UCLA would care about this one).
Anyone have any experiences negotiating aid with UCLA? Are they pretty open to it?

Both of you are YP WLs. Send a LOCI and you'll be fine.ralph_pootawn wrote:same here. Barely at or above both 75%tamereth wrote:WL email. Submitted mid-October. GPA and LSAT both above 75.

I haven't gotten a waitlist email, despite applying around the same time (end of October) that many people who got waitlist emails this week. I'm 3.7 168, should I assume its bad news?
