They will kick down up to $500 for a plane ride and some for transportation as well. They don't require a seat deposit. I'm on the east coast too, and found a reasonable flight from Maine to Sac Town. I will be there on the 18th and then go drink wine the rest of the weekend in Napa.MrMisiu wrote:Curious; are they paying for your travel or are you close enough near by that it doesn't matter? And if they are, have you sent deposits in? I'd go to one of them, but I'm on the east coast and not yet ready to send in a deposit.

waitlisted
complete 12/10.
I was wondering if anyone thinks McGeorge will stay in Tier 2 this year?

I honestly feel that they might move up slightly in Tier 2. We'll see though.

Re: U. of Pacific 2011 Applicants
They seem to be making quite a big deal of the fact that they increased their medians this year and their advocacy team was just named in the top 5 (I think, I'm just recalling the multiple conversations I heard about this at the legal scholars day). I don't know, but it's possible they'll move up a place or two...risktaker wrote:I honestly feel that they might move up slightly in Tier 2. We'll see though.

I think it's pretty easy to move either way from their spot ... at the bottom of T2 I could see a bump of 10 spots -- or a drop of the same.swilson215 wrote:They seem to be making quite a big deal of the fact that they increased their medians this year and their advocacy team was just named in the top 5 (I think, I'm just recalling the multiple conversations I heard about this at the legal scholars day). Here's the question though: if they fall are we all going to jump ship?

Re: U. of Pacific 2011 Applicants
If they fall out of T2, it's going to make my decision harder. I will have to start contemplating Seattle if I do not get into SCU. I don't like to put too much emphasis on rankings especially towards the bottom of T2, but if I somehow do really well first year, I know that chances of transferring to T14 are easier from T2 than T3.

Most schools have rising medians so I honestly wouldn't count on a school like Pacific jumping very much. I think a school like Chapman has a much better shot at rising through the ranks.

Re: U. of Pacific 2011 Applicants
Anyone have any insight as to when UoP would start pulling from waitlists? I plan on sending a LOCI now but I am leaning toward retaking the June LSAT and submitting my new stats to UoP in late June when results come out.
Wishful thinking or waste of time?

No DR for me today either. Been complete since 1/7, apparently rolling admissions doesn't apply to some of us haha.

Nice! After looking at your post, I decided to check mine and I guess mine updated to. Went from "Complete 9/3" to "Complete 3/11". Took them long enough.swilson215 wrote:omg omg, I HAVE MOVEMENT! Thank you so much for posting this! I got the same letter about missing information and had the same DR date, signed in to check, and found out I was accepted! Now I don't have to spend another day or two agonizing over whether I got in or notCheburashka wrote:SO the financial aid office sent me a letter asking for some missing information, and I noticed my id number on there....logged onto the admitted student website, I'm in!![]()
