Won't firms be terrified that you'll freeze to death after 3 years at ASU?JonSanchez2009 wrote:I'm hoping my ASU JD will differentiate me from all of the Lewis and Clark and Williamette grads.

Re: Arizona State 2011
Just received my acceptance email! Glad to hear it - the wait was getting tedious.
Numbers: 164/3.88
Should have included this information earlier:
Applied on 1/30 and went complete on 2/1.

don't worry I lived in Alaska for three years and then moved to Arizona, just like you get used to the cold and wear shorts when it finally warms up to zero in Fairbanks, you get used to the heat and think you're freezing if it gets under 60! I still do most outdoor stuff early in the morning or early evening though, the middle of the day with no shade is brutalJonSanchez2009 wrote:I'm part Eskimo (literally). People wear shorts in Alaska when it gets above 0 Fmala2 wrote:don't worry I lived in Alaska for three years and then moved to Arizona, just like you get used to the cold and wear shorts when it finally warms up to zero in Fairbanks, you get used to the heat and think you're freezing if it gets under 60! not usually of course! but I remember feeling warm when it finally hit 0 and seeing some guys in shorts, I was a kid and pretty sure my mom made us wait a little longer:) but your body really does get used to extreme cold and extreme heat to a certain degree after a little while

Re: Arizona State 2011
Extreme heat I know. When I first moved back east I literally could not function during the winters. When I go back out west, people make fun of me for running the AC in the car when the temp outside gets into the high 70s. My mom is terrified for my safety when I leave the house in shorts and it isn't at least 72 degrees.mala2 wrote:not usually of course! but I remember feeling warm when it finally hit 0 and seeing some guys in shorts, I was a kid and pretty sure my mom made us wait a little longer:) but your body really does get used to extreme cold and extreme heat to a certain degree after a little while
Who knows, you may get used to the heat and find that you've accidentally permabaned yourself from Alaska

Haven't heard from ASU and now it's officially off the table as of yesterday. Would have been fun chasing hot blondes around everyday on campus but such is life.

Okay, I'm glad to see that based on the 15 pages of this post that I'm not the only one still waiting to hear from ASU, lol.

I feel the need to brag. I've already began to matriculate. Seat deposit, official transcript, immunization records, FAFSA. I'm not sure what else I need to do

Didn't you "brag" about this three weeks ago? Performing administrative tasks isn't brag-worthy, but... um... congrats?JonSanchez2009 wrote:Then, to no one.kkklick wrote:Who are you bragging to? No one gives a shit.
