Yep. I requested (and completed) mine in late August.homestyle28 wrote:And the many months before that...Gotti wrote:TheTopBloke wrote:I was told I couldn't get an off-campus interview; that the timeframe to request an off-campus interview was the month of November. One month? Seriously? WTF?

Re: Northwestern 2011 Applicants
I think the deadline to request an off campus interview was the first week of december. but it seems, at least from what i've read on this thread that NU has accepted people who haven't interviewed. Also, from what my interviewer said, it sounds like the interview is mainly to make sure that the applicant is a sane person.TheTopBloke wrote:I was told I couldn't get an off-campus interview; that the timeframe to request an off-campus interview was the month of November. The deadline for an on-campus interview isn't over though, there's still two months left so that option is still open.

According to their website, I'm not able to request an interview until after October 31st, then when I email them, they tell me the deadline was December 1st.

You could request starting August 1. http://www.law.northwestern.edu/admissi ... rview.htmlTheTopBloke wrote:According to their website, I'm not able to request an interview until after October 31st, then when I email them, they tell me the deadline was December 1st.

I don't think you'll get too much sympathy here. Lawyers love rules. You did not follow the rules.

It doesn't bother you that the average person graduating from this school has $127,242 of debt?

That is quite a heavy load, for sure. However, I believe NU places the highest % of graduates in BigLaw. I'll see if I can find that list again; I think I saw it on here.kk19131 wrote:It doesn't bother you that the average person graduating from this school has $127,242 of debt?

Yeah, chicago is pricey, I've got a kid to get childcare for. I like to express my future debt as "approaching a quarter of a million dollars" that way it seems so big as to be unreal.D-hops wrote:Yeah, I am gonna have more than average by the end of next year. I miss the days where it was totally OK to take out hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt for something that you were uncertain if you could pay it back. Oh, Lehman Bros. - come back!homestyle28 wrote:

And I feel like a big man that I can attach my name to anything with the word million in it, even debt. Like "I have about a million bacteria living on my body"...total power trip...whathojeeves wrote:I do exactly the same thing, and now feel a lot better about saying it that way.homestyle28 wrote:

I thought the email today they sent was pretty awesome. More because the subject line was, "Holiday Greetings from Northwestern Law - Not a Decision." I lold at the "Not a Decision" line.
I have to say, their admissions office seems like a pretty chill place.

I do that too, but then I do the math on how much monthly payments would be, and cry a little inside.whathojeeves wrote:I do exactly the same thing, and now feel a lot better about saying it that way.homestyle28 wrote:
