Re: Loyola Chicago
ughhh so frustrating, but I wouldn't mind being waitlisted. But it seems that everyone who has gotten this email in the past has gotten rejected. But yea the LSN thing is also frustrating, but some of those are URMs and i'm a white girl from orange county so that does not help in the least

Re: Loyola Chicago
though I know my decision will most likely be a reject in the snail mail, if you go into the earlier pages you'll see people say they got in via snail mail as well. So I wouldn't lose hope so quickly, unless you thought it was a reach to begin with or something.

Re: Loyola Chicago
oh hm...I guess there could be a pattern there but it just seems too farfetched to me that those who are getting snail mail admits won't receive emails saying to expect a decision letter whereas those who are getting snail mail rejects (or WL) do.
but anything goes I guess.

Re: Loyola Chicago
Not sure that's great, everyone accepted seems to have gotten an email indicating so. I got the same email about a decision being made but nothing about acceptance. 165/2.7. Not looking good.lsatextreme wrote:uhhh I didn't realize this until now because I applied to a LOT of schools, but if I submitted it on 1/11 and still haven't received an email saying it was complete or even an email with a status checker, then did something go wrong?
*EDIT: uh wow, I found their status checker website and entered my information, and I see that there was a decision made with a status date of 1/31/2011. That's great I guess...

I guess everyone's been getting the "decision made" status. Mine just changed but I haven't gotten any sort of email yet.

Haven't gotten an e-mail that a decision was made.

Got the same cryptic email but feel like I should be an auto-admit (3.4/166). Many people who have already gotten acceptances have lower numbers....what gives??

It does seem like the emails are all over the place. DR on 2/1, no email yet. Numbers: 163/3.1/Maybe URM? (I check both Hispanic and White so not sure how they consider me).
Good luck everyone.

Re: Loyola Chicago
For some schools numbers really don't equal an auto admit. I was accepted here with a 149/3.25. It is their part time program, I'm URM, and I have tons of great WE. So they looked into all of that. Plus I had a medical emergency happened to someone close to me right around the time of LSAT. Some schools wouldn't care but it seems like Loyola really looks at the entire application.mink1656 wrote:with your numer, you should be in most definitely!SCJD2014 wrote:Got the same cryptic email but feel like I should be an auto-admit (3.4/166). Re: Loyola Chicago
Now I'm scared that the "Decision Made" status with NO email means something bad...Decision made yesterday, still no email for me.

I actually think if you havent gotten an email that's good. I hope! I am in the same boat, I have decision made but no email.ash8309 wrote:Now I'm scared that the "Decision Made" status with NO email means something bad...Decision made yesterday, still no email for me.
From reading through past posts if you get a cryptic email about a decision being made and expecting a letter in the mail, then you're rejected or maybe WL. If you got in I think you'll get an acceptance email. However, it seems like the acceptance emails have taken a couple of days in the past and since Chicago just had a huge blizzard, I'm not sure if they are in their office sending emails.

Re: Loyola Chicago
No I agree from past history it shows that no email still is a good sign, I wouldn't be surprised or shocked if I didn't get in but I am confused by those of you who have pretty decent scores and got the email, that just really makes not a whole lot of sense and lsn reflects that. But stupidd blizzard haha we might be waiting even longer on the snail mail.

Chicago is in the midst of a major snow storm. So it is quite possible that the email admits were intended but set aside because Loyola is closed.

Just got a mass email at 1:10pm today saying I was in. Status update on 2/1 said "Decision Made." Email also said, "We will begin awarding merit scholarships in February, and individuals will be notified separately."
