Does anybody else have any movement today? I'm only seeing one other decision on LSN for today.

Doesn't have to be with that GPA. Houston takes a lot of splitters -like me- and has to compensate with some reverse splitters. They may have just liked his softs, and needed a reverse splitter.

Re: University of Houston 2011
Applied today 2/11 - yes, very late, I know. Especially since the deadline is the 15th of this month.
Never really intending on applying, but emails from some admission people got me to do it. I visited the school after the Houston law forum with a friend and I've got to say that I was not impressed whatsoever. Yes, I'm a 0L and based my decision largely on the aesthetics and people I met briefly, but the classrooms and buildings were less than impressive.

I'm stuck in complete - I wish they would review me! How long did it take to go from complete -> IR?

Horrifying way to gauge a law school.DamnLSAT wrote:Applied today 2/11 - yes, very late, I know. Especially since the deadline is the 15th of this month.

Re: University of Houston 2011
Just got my scholly offer- $10,000/year contigent on a 2.9. It's called the Dean's scholly. Where to begin? I got $25,557 at SMU, and $10,000 to W&M. And those are with no stips. So, needless to say, I will not be attending U of H, and I hope one of you guys get my money and spot.

No, they're out there. 3.36/167/URM (Mex. Am). I heard via email, believe it or not. They said there'd be more details to follow in the mail, but it gave me the total and the stip. And the title of the scholly.

Re: University of Houston 2011
I should add that I was also given in-state tuition, with the $10,000 taken off that for a total of $16,000/year. That's great and very generous, but SMU and W&M, which are higher-ranked, are comparable in cost. So I don't want to sound too hateful towards U of H. They were very good.

Re: University of Houston 2011
I'm drafting my LOCI now, and planning a hand delivery and personal campus tour to get off the WL. UH is the only school so far that didn't admit me. If I weren't so invested in the city, I would just withdraw, but ugh.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
